Rep. Jim Clyburn ‘still’ believes Biden could have served second term while acknowledging cover-up of ex-prez’s cognitive decline hurt party

Rep. Jim Clyburn claimed “still” believes former President Joe Biden could’ve served out another four years as president, despite mounting evidence of cognitive decline.

“Yes, I thought that back then. I still think that, but I don’t know that,” Clyburn told CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday when asked if Biden could’ve served out another term that he would’ve completed at age 86.

Still, Clyburn, 84, who is widely credited with rescuing Biden’s then-flailing presidential bid in 2020, admitted that Biden’s disastrous debate performance against President Trump in June of last year had him second-guessing that belief.

“I watched that debate, and you and I talked about it. And, yes, I was concerned,” he said. “Now, the question is, is this a condition or is this an incident?”

“A lot of us were a bit concerned about his schedule in the run-up to the debate. He took two overseas trips, came back, and started preparing for that debate.”

CNN host Jake Tapper asked Clyburn whether the Democrats’ “incredibly low standing” with the public is related to the impression among many that they “hid his actual dysfunction, his non-functioning abilities from the American people.”

“It very well could have. I haven’t looked at the numbers behind the numbers to come to any conclusion as to what exactly is going on here,” Clyburn replied.

The South Carolina Democrat noted that he’s heard mixed reactions from everyday South Carolinians about Biden’s cognitive state.

“I have talked to people, talked to students,” he explained. “And people still feel that Joe Biden had the capacity to do the work that needed to be done. They still feel that Joe Biden was a good president. And I do as well.”

Clyburn is no biologist. And yet, RATS are still trying to figure out why Brandon sucked.

Did he listen to the audio tapes from the Hur interview? He was asked directly where he kept some paperwork, and spent like 3 to 5 minutes, rambling on about not knowing when his son had died.

Seems to be an admission that FJB was just a puppet who did whatever the puppetmasters commanded.

Good thing Joe didn’t run, because if he did and won, most likely right now we’d have President Kamala.

It is sad that the many well qualified black people are not given the spotlight that types like Clyburn, Waters, Crockett and Hakeem Jeffries enjoy.

The contradictory statements show Clayburn’s state of cognitive decline.

Why not?

Biden could have been dead and it wouldn’t have effected his level of involvement.

We don’t want to discriminate against people who are in cognitive decline. That would be racist.

The question is, who would be served if Biden served a second term? Would the same folks who directed Biden in his first term be available for Biden’s second term?

Biden STILL could have served out a 2nd term- in a hospital bed with tubes in his arms and throat and no brain waves. All the Presidential work would have been done and papers signed just like in his first term when he could still walk around somewhat. He was no more than a placeholder who fulfilled the Constitutional requirement for a President while his wife and the Democrat Politburo would have took care of the rest.

Exactly. In other words, Biden 2 would have been just like Biden 1.

I dread the day the bastard croaks and lies in state, gets a state funeral, weepy orations about the wonderful “public servant,” how selfless he was, how he loved the country, and endless Democrat stories about him. Ugh.
