A newly released Harvard study on human intelligence has provided conclusive evidence that while nobody thinks they're stupid, many are.
According to the results of the study, 100% of people think they are not stupid, which means that 100% of all stupid people think they are smart. But they're not smart. They're stupid.
"The results of this study were particularly shocking to me and my colleagues," said Dr. Anton Phoenix, a Harvard psychologist. "According to our findings, there is a possibility that we might be stupid. We certainly don't think we are, but according to the study, that's exactly what stupid people think."
The study's findings went beyond a previous 2018 OECD PISA study that showed 20-30% of students in developed nations struggled with basic problem-solving skills. "We were expecting to learn that at least some percentage of stupid people believe themselves to be intelligent," Phenox continued. "We were surprised to see such lopsided data indicating that, in reality, no stupid person believes they are stupid when, in fact, they are. Stupid, that is."
One participant in the study was skeptical of the results. "There are obviously some flaws in the results, because I know I'm not stupid," said Thomas Ridley, who thinks Attack of the Clones was the best Star Wars movie. "This would mean that I could potentially be stupid without even knowing it. But I'm not. I'm smart."
At publishing time, the results of the study had been called into question after it was pointed out that the team of scientists conducting the research could, unbeknownst to them, be stupid.

Yeah, we can eliminate the possibility of nitrogen narcosis by using a 100% oxygen atmosphere in our space capsules.
Those people can really think.
Us acetylene welders can never match that.
Just as long as you're using reverse psychology.
I think Will Rogers or someone used to say the average person doesn’t think they are average.
and
“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”
— George Carlin.
I know plenty of smart people but because they are uninformed, they appear stupid.
And just how much money did taxpayers pay for this stupid study?
Here’s a flash - people judge themselves by their best traits. My cleaning lady thinks she knows more about cleaning than I do... and in that way she’s ‘smarter’. The professor uses they same standard when judging others - HIS best traits. An artist judges others by how artistic they are...
I particularly like Will Rogers, the greats all occasionally spoof themselves, indicating they are smart, however, not perfect and they know it.
The Bee almost had me. The give away was in the 3rd paragraph where a psychologist had the mental clarity to realize that might mean they’re stupid, too.
Will Rogers used to quote Mark Twain for this and was sometimes said to have been the author:
“If you don’t read the newspaper, you’re uninformed. If you do, you’re misinformed.”
I don't suppose you're aware of any success in that field?
Let me ask Elon, I want my info to be unbiased.
My driving instructor sentenced me to driving discourse in Descartes over and over again until I got it right. 😐
Drat, I should have clipped that out!
I attended a MENSA meeting once out of curiosity and left saddened to see so many people there trying to build monuments to their own egos while trying to shore up insecurity. Kind of like where some people get wealthy and allow accumulating more becomes the purpose of their existence.
In fairness, I did say “as much as” which makes my claim accurate.
I know I’m smart - I scored in the top 99 percent.
The Capitol looks like a bell curve, so those on the political left side of it must be pretty stupid.
Shhh! Like the Wizard of Oz, no one is supposed to look behind the Bell Curve curtain.
Oh for crying out loud….
Humility is at the root of true wisdom.
What you observed- erecting edifices and monuments to one’s own ego - is not wise. It’s rather arrogant, actually.
