Just get rid of RCV and secure the state’s elections.

Maine does not use RCV for primary elections, so a GOP primary does not “award” anything to a Democrat.

Good luck to your brother. Susan is a seasoned vet:

Collins was first elected to the Senate in 1996. She was reelected in 2002, 2008, 2014, and 2020. She chaired the Senate Special Committee on Aging from 2015 to 2021 and the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs from 2003 to 2007

The people who live in the coldest parts of Maine are not the problem. It’s the high percentage of wealthy liberal transplants in the southern coastal and mid coastal region that hold sway, to the deep resentment of the northern and interior residents. It’s a viciously deep divide.

[[People who live in very cold climates have socialist tendencies.]]

I lived in, and still do, cold country and have always lived in areas that are conservative- Maine is quite conservative but the problem is the liberals moved into the districts that matter come voting time- Those areas tend to be right on the coastlines, in the most popular towns- but muh of Maine outside those areas is or at least was, quite conservative and independent-

Agreed- i grew up in southern Maine, in the 60’s-early 80’s- and it was always very conservative- and resistant to the influx of lgbtq too at the time- but gradually, it started gettign overwhelmed by city liberals moving htere-

[[the deep resentment of the northern and interior residents. It’s a viciously deep divide.]]

And even a deep divide in the coastal towns- My old school mates are still in the area, and still fiercely conservatives- but liberals and lgbtq have definitely destroyed the area-

If I lived there I’d volunteer. I can’t afford to contribute.

Best of luck. He looks like a great candidate.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and encouragement. Carmen knows it will be a long haul. He’s just one of those that “I have to do this” and then gives it a try.
