Thanks for the video. I hadn’t had a chance to study it. Man, Baeza ALMOST caught Journalism at the end. If he had, the exacta would have been a LOT better!
But... I can’t complain.

Man.... Final Gambit made a helluva stretch run, after going EIGHT wide on the 3rd turn.
I didn’t have him in my 50 cent Super bet. Sure wish I had!

I think the horse in 17th was Toby Keith’s?No, his horse was in #15, but finished 17th., so that may be what you heard.

There have been 20-ish horses whenever I have watched.
In how many years were there fewer than 17 horses?
To: SomeCallMeTim
Which would that be? Sec didn’t run on too many off tracks.

No. I meant.. no horse, running on a muddy track, would come close to Sec’s record time . Run on a fast, dry track.

I was told that every horse running was a descendent of the Triple Crown winner Secretariat.

I was told that every horse running was a descendent of the Triple Crown winner Secretariat. He was magnificent.

I heard that, too. I missed the race this year, I’ll have to find a video of it.

I hope no horse ever beats his record despite the track conditions.

Maybe his horse had too much beer 🍺

What the heck is the matter with you? You sound like a holdover from the Storm Front infiltration that supposedly was purged. You don't belong here!
Why was a storm fronter posting in a thread about the Kentucky Derby? Was the horse black? Did it have a big nose?
To: freepertoo
I agree.
I used to think it was inevitable that some horse would break the Derby and Preakness records. Never the Belmont.
But now, I’m not so sure? The track surface has changed a lot over the years. They’re not as fast as they used to be. So, maybe they will hold on?
He will always be the greatest, in my mind. As Barbaro is in my heart.
To: SomeCallMeTim
I got you. Although the Derby time has been approached.

I picked Sovereignty to win only for his name, I didn’t bet any moola.

I picked Sovereignty to win only for his name, I didn’t bet any moola.I don't bet, either. I wanted Coal Battle to pull off an upset like Upset beat Man o' War, but seriously felt Journalism was a shoe-in.
Your method is as good as anybody else's. Lord, the lengths some go to to handicap!!
