President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at the Governor's Ball - February 22, 2025
I wore pant suits with vests and men’s ties when they were in fashion. Other than my high school proms, I never went anywhere that required me to wear a ball gown, and I never went to a party that required a cocktail dress. I think she has the right to wear whatever she wants since she’s paying for it herself, and especially if she feels comfortable wearing it. She and her husband wore matching tux outfits. That was their choice. She’s a big improvement in First Lady decor in many years. She could wear a potato sack and look great in it. I wish I could have looked that good in anything when I was her age.
Even after school, there were many things that I wore appropriate, FORMAL clothing ( not everyday wear ) to.
Do I like everything that Melania has ever worn? Absolutely NOT; however, at least she wore what was APPROPRIATE to the occasion! Okay, I'm kinda old, old fashioned, but Melania looks like a stupid TRANNY.
Had to look again. Funny.
Probably not, because they would have looked like a sack of potatoes in it. Thankfully we don't have to see Big Mike's broad shoulders anymore in sleeveless outfits, or hear the media praise him for them. I hardly believe Melania looks like a tranny in a formal tux pantsuit. Now Big Mike looked like a tranny everyday, in everything he wore. You can't compare Melania's beauty to a tranny trying to look like a woman. Melania still looks like a woman in whatever she wears. Jill Biden looked like Alice Cooper in everything. My mother never wore slacks while my father was alive. She wore house dresses every day. After my Dad died, she bought herself slacks and blouses, and never wore a dress again.
I'm old fashioned with a lot of things, but when I was in high school, I wore what I liked, and didn't feel compelled to dress the way other girl's dressed. When empire waist dresses were popular, I wore them to school, while no one else had the nerve to do it because they were afraid someone would think they were pregnant. I was tiny back then, and didn't worry about crap like that. I never felt I had to be part of the crowd to be accepted.
Wear
Made my day! THANK YOU! MAGA! :)
She's NOT some teen in high PUBLIC high school; SHE'S THE WIFE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE U.S.A., attending a FORMAL BALL for governors!
And........THE MOOCH really and truly is NOT a male! She's just a very FUGLY, inside and out faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar lefty FEMALE.
Not liking her masculine fashion style second term. Not that she doesn’t look good, because she looks wonderful. But her dresses knocked your socks off.
I agree. I love to see a pretty dress or evening gown.
Nobody was dancing and she was showing feminine strength.
I love all the gold, Gold Eagles, Gold draperies, he is telling us something…if not, Gold is at $3300 USD’s.
You can only wear a dress when you dance?
I’m Baptist. Only wear dresses. Dancing is taboo.
I was thinking about the so called “Governor’s Ball” clearly without dancing, might give license for her to not wear a ball gown.
She would have shown FAR MORE "strength", by wearing something appropriate! This made her look 3RD DEGREE FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR LEFTY FEMINIST/bad boss girl.
To cop a phrase, “yeah, well, you know, that’s just like, uh, your opinion, man.”
In 1965, there were MORE stable families,of ALL races, than there are now. The black out of wedlock pregnancies/born children were ONLY at 25% and NOW.....now it is reaching very close to 80%, with white out of wedlock pregnancies far higher than that of blacks in 1965, at somewhere close to 40 %, with neither race having the old fashioned "normal" stable family.
Hookups, shacking up, easily available porn of EVERY imaginable kind? Ho hum...what else is "new" in 22025? In 1965 ALL of THAT would have shocked the vast majority of people!
The numbers of people going to religious services once a week? NORMAL in 1965! NOW? Okay...you tell me!
Dressing respectfully? Once the NORM! NOW? ANYTHING GOES! AND AS MY MOTHER USED TO SAY.....YOU BEHAVE THE WAY YOU ARE DRESSED!
I could go on and on and ON, in the same vein, but IF you haven't gotten the clue YET, or disagree with what I have written, then there really is less than NO point in my posting about MORE things.
But one last tidbit...kids, today, as well as young and not so young adults no longer understand what dating IS, nor HOW to do it. Many also have no idea HOW to be a real friend. And manners? LOL...only old fogies imagine that that matters.
Okay, now ask yourself WHY!
It's really quite simple.....the stinking RED DIAPER BABIES began all of this garbage, back in '67, escalated it to a very high degree in '68 and though it took a bit longer and with the help of LBJ and almost ALL Dems, the fabric of civilization was torn asunder. No rules, no nothing...the Commies won!
Okay, there are still some pockets, here and there that aren't quite as BAD as other places, but can you tell me, honestly, that NOW, America and the West, shorn of what made these civilizations good to great/civilized, are better?
I was only trying to add some levity in the thread. I don't understand how anybody could be piqued about proper fashion, when fashion has been as changeable as the climate over the centuries.
Mankind ( and especially children and teens !) need rules. So DO adults!
Without them, civilization crumbles.
IT IS NOT NOW, IN 2025, FOR A PRESIDENT'S WIFE, NOT ANY OTHER WOMAN ATTENDING A GOVERNPORS' BALL, TO WEAR A SLOPPY SHIRT AND A MAN'S STYLED SUIT TO A FORMAL POLITICAL FUNCTION!
Yes, styles change, fashions change, twas ever thus.
Just as it would have been completely inappropriate, for a female head of state or wife of a male head of state to ave worn only the bottom 1/2 of a neon lime green bikini, and 6 inch heels covered in spikes, to the Pope's funeral ( okay, I'm being outrageous, but I have to be, because you refuse to understand what's what ! ), and a fireman's helmet, Melania was improperly dressed for the occasion.
I do wonder that you even allow yourself to post on a forum though.
