I never said “gown”, just “dress”. Also, I wasn’t referring to that one specific event. Since she became FLOTUS 47, she has dressed much less femininely overall. More pants; fewer dresses and skirts. Even her official portrait, although gorgeous with a badass aura (which I love), is masculine.
Anyhow, it doesn’t matter. It is what it is. People say that she’s always trying to make a statement with the outfit she wears. If that’s true, she knows exactly what she’s doing, and good for her.
