Many come here to read dispatches from the War between Good and Evil, to red-pill and encourage.....and to pray and give thanks to the God who fights for us.

Q has reminded us repeatedly that together, we are strong. As the false "narrative" is destroyed and the divisive machinery put in place by the Deep State fails, the fact that patriotism has no skin color or political party is exposed for all to see.

Those who attack you.
Those who mock you.
Those who cull you.
Those who control you.
Those who label you.
Do they represent you?
Or, do they represent themselves (in some form)?
Mental Enslavement.
The Great Awakening ('Freedom of Thought’), was designed and created not only as a backchannel to the public (away from the longstanding ‘mind’ control of the corrupt & heavily biased media) to endure future events through transparency and regeneration of individual thought (breaking the chains of ‘group-think’), but, more importantly, aid in the construction of a vehicle (a ‘ship’) that provides the scattered (‘free thinkers’) with a ‘starter’ new social-networking platform which allows for freedom of thought, expression, and patriotism or national pride (the feeling of love, devotion and sense of attachment to a homeland and alliance with other citizens who share the same sentiment).
When ‘non-dogmatic’ information becomes FREE & TRANSPARENT it becomes a threat to those who attempt to control the narrative and/or the stable.
When you are awake, you stand on the outside of the stable (‘group-think’ collective), and have ‘free thought’.
"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.
You are not alone and you are not in the minority.
Difficult truths will soon see the light of day.

Q

In the battle between those who strip us our constitutional rights, we can't afford to let false divisions separate us any longer. We, and our country, will be forever made stronger by diligently seeking the truth, independence and freedom of thought.

Haha! I’m still trying to figure out who or what the heck grok is. I know it has something to do with AI, maybe like Alexa (”turn the TV off, Alexa”), but why I should trust anything Mr. Grok has to say is still escaping me.

My prompt to grok:
Can the President only make ad interim appointments during a recess? Is there an exception when only the Senate is in session (close of House business today through end of day Monday?)

Grok's response:

The President's ability to make ad interim appointments, which are temporary appointments to fill vacancies, is governed by the U.S. Constitution and statutory law, with specific conditions tied to congressional sessions. Let’s break this down based on the constitutional framework and relevant practices as of May 08, 2025, 10:03 PM EDT.

General Rule: Ad Interim Appointments and Recess

Under Article II, Section 2, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution (the Recess Appointments Clause), the President has the power to "fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session." This traditionally applies when the Senate is in recess, allowing the President to make temporary appointments without Senate confirmation. Historically, this was intended to ensure government continuity when the Senate was unavailable for extended periods, as noted by Alexander Hamilton in Federalist No. 67. However, modern practice has evolved due to the Senate being in session nearly year-round, and the Supreme Court’s 2014 decision in NLRB v. Noel Canning clarified that a recess must typically last at least 10 days to trigger this power, unless exceptional circumstances apply. Pro forma sessions—brief meetings where no substantive business occurs—have been used by the Senate to prevent recesses long enough for recess appointments, effectively limiting this authority.

Ad Interim Appointments Beyond Recess

The term "ad interim appointment" is also used in a broader sense, particularly in the U.S. and Philippines, to describe temporary appointments made when the confirming body (e.g., the Senate or Commission on Appointments) is not in session. In the U.S., beyond the constitutional recess appointment power, statutes like 5 U.S.C. § 5503 allow for ad interim designations or appointments under certain conditions, even when the Senate is in session, provided the vacancy existed while the Senate was in session. However, these appointees often cannot receive salary until confirmed unless an exception applies (e.g., public safety or service continuity). This suggests that ad interim appointments can occur outside of a formal recess, but they are subject to legal and practical constraints, including Senate oversight and potential judicial challenges.

Exception During Senate Session with House Recess

Your specific scenario asks about a period when the Senate is in session (from the close of House business today, Thursday, May 08, 2025, through the end of day Monday, May 12, 2025), while the House is in recess. This situation hinges on the interplay between the House and Senate under Article I, Section 5, Clause 4 of the Constitution, which states that neither chamber can adjourn for more than three days without the consent of the other. A House recess of four days (Friday through Monday) without Senate agreement would technically violate this clause unless authorized by a concurrent resolution or deemed a procedural break not requiring consent.

Critical Examination

The establishment narrative assumes the Senate’s pro forma sessions fully protect its confirmation role, but this relies on procedural gamesmanship rather than the original intent of ensuring government function during genuine recesses. The 10-day rule from Noel Canning is a judicial construct, not explicit in the Constitution, and could be challenged if the Senate’s session is deemed a sham (e.g., no quorum or business). However, no precedent supports a President adjourning Congress unilaterally in this scenario, despite Trump’s 2020 threat, due to lack of House-Senate disagreement on adjournment timing.

Conclusion

The President cannot make constitutional recess appointments during this period (close of House business May 08 through end of day May 12, 2025) if the Senate remains in session, as the four-day House recess doesn’t constitute a Senate recess without mutual consent, and the duration is below 10 days. However, an exception exists for ad interim designations under statutory authority, allowing temporary appointments to ensure continuity, though with salary and tenure limitations unless confirmed. The Senate’s session status, likely maintained via pro forma meetings, would be the decisive factor.

TRUMP TO NETANYAHU: I’LL HANDLE THE MIDEAST WITHOUT YOU

Trump is reportedly fed up with Netanyahu—and moving ahead on Middle East deals without him.

Word is, Trump privately accused the Israeli PM of dragging his feet on a Saudi normalization deal and being too eager to pull the U.S. into a strike on Iran.

The final straw? Trump’s surprise ceasefire with the Houthis and quiet nuclear talks with Iran—both of which caught Jerusalem flat-footed.

Trump still wants Israel in the Saudi deal.

But for now, he’s done waiting.

Netanyahu’s response? Israel “can defend itself by itself.”

President Trump has “cut contact” with Netanyahu, slamming the Israeli PM and his allies for acting “arrogant” and trying to push him around.

Trump reportedly feels disrespected and manipulated by Netanyahu.

***Americans voted for cuts!***

Speaker Mike Johnson is a disgrace. He is the definition of a RINO - all talk, all betrayal! To adopt the cuts of waste and fraud (which Elon Musk described how to cut out of the budget), the Repubs would have to go through the budget issue by issue, line by line... IOW ---> do some work! . . . . . Oh! The horror!

So all the waste and fraud will stay in the budget and the $2 trillion budget deficit for COVID etc will continue another year - for the next continuing resolution (which will continue the waste and debt for another year!)

I propose our paying for a cruise for everyone in D.C. to the Bermuda Triangle - or something...

I wonder where Barnhardt got the info.
near as I can figure, Prevost and Cupich weren’t together in Chicago.
And it doesn’t look like their paths hardly crossed, if ever.
and I am getting my data from wiki for both of them.
