Liberals think they’re more intelligent than conservatives because they are.
Liberalism can be defined as the willingness to contribute large amounts of private resources for the welfare of genetically unrelated others.
Research shows that more intelligent children in the US and UK are more likely to grow up to be liberals than less intelligent children.
Studies show the effect of childhood intelligence on adult political ideology is twice as large as the effect of either sex or race.

The 15 years of history we’ve experienced since this article was written should certainly render it invalid!

Some see it as clever to seek credit for being magnanimous by giving away other people’s money.

Yet, they demonstrate, on a daily basis, how insanely stupid they are.
I tend to judge a person’s intellect by their actions, not the lies they tell me.

Regarding intelligence, in many degree programs, a college education is more of a measure of one’s ability to sit in a seat for four years, than actual cognitive ability.
If you look more fundamentally at cognitive ability, smarter people tend to be Republican:

Here is an interesting correlation: Polls indicate that, based on income, the other side has us surrounded.
They lead us among voters with less than $25K and with voters with more than $100K family income.
We lead them among voters with between $25K and $100K family income.

This non-linearity illustrates what politics is about nowadays: it’s the elites using our money to buy the votes of those dependent on the government, in order to outvote us.

“Research shows”. Knowing that academia is a cancerous tumor on the anus of society we can safely reserve the right to discount the article. Over-funded do nothing self impressed provincial idiots. Previous times we could speak about those who just fell off a turnip truck and correctly describe them as provincial. However in today’s world the ecosystem of academia does not tolerate ideas that don’t fit a “concensus”. Concensus is a nice fancy reference to a provincial mindset closed firmly to outside ideas.

A genuine liberal in the western enlightenment tradition is usually very intelligent ( agree with him
Or not, he will discuss things rationally, with an open mind to your ideas, and in an informed manner so that conversing with a genuine liberal is a worthwhile endeavor)
On the other hand, Today’s leftist automatons are the very antithesis of liberal. They shouldn’t be called (or allowed to voopt the title of being) liberal anymore than a pro- abortion practicing homosexual communist should be allowed to co-opt the title “Christian”

“”Liberals think they’re more intelligent than conservatives because they are.””
If Liberals (leftists) are so intelligent, then why is it that everything they attempt fails and everything they touch turns to caca. The proof of this lie is everywhere. Just look at the dismal state of every ‘liberal-run’ city, state or country. It would be laughable and amusing if it were not such a blatant, and typical, lie. And I don’t find their lies funny these days.

"Liberalism can be defined as the willingness to contribute large amounts of private resources for the welfare of genetically unrelated others."
I thought that studies showed that conservatives are more likely to contribute to charities than "liberals."

Libs are quite willing to spend other people's money on pet projects, which is no surprise.
That someone takes it as a sign of intelligence was a funny surprise though.

As long as SOMEONE ELSE pays for it.
What's worse is how they define what's good for the welfare of other people. A lefty can be told that literally anything is good for the welfare of people and he'll support it, no matter how asinine it is or how provably wrong the assertion is (and as long as it doesn't cost him anything personally).
For example, if you sucker a lefty into believing that humankind is causing catastrophic climate change, then he'll support anything to stop that climate change, from mandating electric cars, to slaughtering cattle, to reducing the human population. Meanwhile, a conservative will think those programs are ridiculous or even evil, both because they don't do jack to stop any climate change, AND because "climate change" is BS to begin with. Then the lefty thinks "These conservatives don't care about people. Reeeeee."

Actually, liberalism can be defined as contributing large amounts of OTHER PEOPLES privately owned resources, BY HOLDING A GUN TO THEIR HEAD, to support genetically unrelated people.
