Canine gene sequences were changed to match a bunch of the Dire Wolf gene sequences. Not a clone. A facsimile.

So they have these in an artificial habitat. How do they plan on releasing these back into the wild? What are the repercussions of reintroducing an extinct animal back into nature?

Dire wolves are not as big as depicted in fantasy or fiction. Whew. Now where is that guy with the DnD miniature with a goblem riding a dire wolf.

Skinwalker Ranch supposedly found a dead one in a creek on their property. They ID’d it by size & shape comparison. They were supposed to genetic test but I never heard any announcement.

What next? Saber Tooth Tigers and Cave Bears?

I guess that would reduce the human traffic in the National Forests.

Yeah, they’re cute — as puppies.

But they will grow up to be bigger, stronger wolves. Do we really need more wolves around? Eating our livestock and occasional human?

Not really!!!!!

They should de-extimct something safer, like passenger pigeons or dodods.

Just what the world needs! A stone age predator brought back from extinction, one that can kill and eat almost any animal on earth!!

They are NOT dire wolves. They are wolves that have some genetic changes to imitate a dire wolf.

Yes lets turn a bunch of them loose in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. The Canadian timber wolves just weren’t bad enough. 😏
