Lady Gaga ‘SNL’ Sketch Sparks Fear of Devil Worship

Lady Gaga performed a sketch on this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live where she summons a demon—and now, some people on the internet are stocking up on holy water and crosses, convinced the devil is among us.

Over the weekend, Lady Gaga pulled double duty as both host and musical guest for the latest episode of SNL, delivering a series of sketches and two songs from her new album Mayhem. For most (cough normal viewers), the episode was pretty standard SNL fare—Gaga had a great music set, along with some good and not-so-good sketches.

However, after the cast performed the “Birthday at Friendly’s” sketch, where a lie to get a free birthday sundae at the restaurant sparks a satanic ritual led by Gaga, people on X began to fear for their souls, convinced SNL just unleashed the devil on them.

“LADY GAGA PERFORMED A SATANIC RITUAL ON SNL…THIS IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING…THESE PEOPLE ARE SICK,” one user wrote, clearly scandalized by the skit.

“Pure evil. Satan is real folks,” another user chimed in.

Some people even tried to warn others to avoid the episode, writing: “Don’t even watch this. Or, if you insist, pray before watching it. They’re literally casting dark spells on the audience.”

As soon as Gaga and SNL fans caught wind of the devil worship panic happening on the platform, they instantly began to troll the “true believers.”
