Trevon Woodards, 27, was arrested on Friday after being accused of attacking 27-year-old Canada Rinaldi on March 22, four weeks before her wedding. Dash cam footage from a passing Uber captured Rinaldi's bridesmaid, Kelly Peralta, trying to save her but found herself also being punched by Woodards. Currently, a possible motive for the attack has not been released.

Me and 3 friends were going to a show and stopped at a Mexican restaurant to have dinner before. Downtown. As we were coming out and headed through the parking lot some guy walks up behind us and asked us for money. I started yelling at him to gtf away from us. He turned and kind of ran. My friends are like.....why did you do that? Why be so mean? I said....so it’s okay for some strange guy to walk up behind you and shock the crap out of you in a dark parking lot? I just shook my head that some women are so naive.

Just imagine when he goes back to prison and his fellow inmates ask what ya in for? And he says fighting, I beat the crap out of two women. That should build his prison cred.
Odd how we have no compunction about putting down feral dogs for violently attacking people, but when it comes to repeatedly violent animals of the two legged kind we just keep feeding them more victims.

I'm not sure he had a "motive". According to a news report last night he's been in trouble before including trying to gouge out a police officer's eyes. He has also previously been found mentally unfit to be held accountable for a crime.
I think the attack boils down to the guy is crazy. As such, he should not be allowed to roam around in public.
