In the air in a jumbo jet, Pilot A says to Pilot B: “I’m nervous. You take over the landing. I admit I was hired for the affirmative action quota and I failed everything in flight school. I can’t really fly a plane.”

DEI is like crabgrass infecting a lawn. Once established its almost impossible to eradicate and the lawn is eventually ruined. If any pilot can’t pass a revaluation, then ground and fire them.

I’d like to agree, but isn’t this exaggerated? Takeoffs and landings would seem to be far more challenging than the level flight that makes up a majority of an eight-hour flight. Surely, with any training at all, less experienced pilots can handle level flight.
