One can always let companies know that their advertising has put you off of their product.
TV advertising is aimed at a gullible viewing audience with an average IQ of about 85-90. Draw your own conclusions from that. Personally, I don’t know a single white person who can even identify two shows on network TV these days.
I don’t always see commercials but when I do, I use them to tell me what NOT to buy. In general anything made by Proctor and Gamble is a no go.

It’s why I told my kids I quit watching TV. (They were still at home then, so it’s really more like 25 years) I used to tell them to play (figuratively) “Find the doofus” in a TV show or an advertisement. It WAS and IS always the white male, generally the loser father figure.
The racial ad that most caught my eye had a black parent, a white parent, and two kids that looked Asian to me. I was so caught up in figuring out how that could be that I don’t remember what they were advertizing...lol
I was just on a Delta flight. Everyone in the safety video was black, Asian or a white woman. One white guy, older, was shown putting on a seat belt.
I think just about everyone notices this. Peronally, I treat this with thes same respect that I treat bad science fiction. I also make a mental not of the companies running the ads and avoid buying their products/services.
I think the “logic” behind these ads is that liberal, college educated White women control 80% of the spending. That may not be wrong. If these ads were THAT counterproductive, they would not run them.

I don’t know what the racial bias in advertising accomplishes.
But, I remember a time when there were no “colored” people in television commercials at all!
Except when I was a child, it didn’t effect my purchasing decisions whatsoever.
I’ll try something new, advertised on TV, if I think it has some utility, I don’t care who sells it.
You see these commercials all the time, but you hardly ever see these things in real, everyday life...Wonder why?????

I have three BFFs of close to 50 years. We do everything together.
After seeing one of these idiotic commercials the other day I told Beau, “Not sure which one has to go, but it’s OBVIOUS I need to replace at least ONE of the BFFs with a large, black, know-it-all female.”

Why anyone spends one DIME on any advertised ‘national brand’ for anything is beyond me.
Advertising will be directed at the demographics that watch particular shows. As the algorithms get more and more efficient in sweeping our interactions on all connected platforms, microtargeting takes over.
Who watches linear tv? If you don’t fit the profile of the dominant viewing group, you are not the intended audience. But the underlying question is why you are watching those channels and shows to begin with.
It’s actually the RACIST content of advertising.
