Good video on this by a pilot. Plane was descending at 1100 feet/minute when it should have 500 feet/minute. Obviously issues with wind and snow. Error by young female pilot. It looks to me like they were maybe pressured to hire female pilots, but may have made exception for beauty contest winner with not enough hours. Video emphasizes the actual pilot was a simulator instructor who needed to fly every 90 days to stay current. Author says it was really the pilots responsibility to order a go around or take controls from the copilot. Author says it was a terrible pairing to put the simulator instructor with the new copilot. Author says right wing broke, but left wing did not, which caused plane to roll. Says fire was apparently put out by the snow or it would have been worse.

The student pilot “porpoise” landing, only its not a Cesna 172, and a whole lot more porpoise weight.

In my field, if you take a work day away from teaching, to be on the job to stay current you don’t take a lead position. What the hell is this?
I’m traveling soon. There are very few carriers I am even looking at
I went up in a four seater recently. The pilot is a 3x engineer the latest a phd in aerospace engineering. The mom is in the back seat It’s like the proverbial bus full of nuns. That’s a safe bet. It was a nice flight. Got to co pilot a bit spotting other aircraft miles off we knew were there from radio chatter. I should have taken a Xanax -still.
Traveling the only choices are airlines. Who has the best business practices. Who is more concerned with things other than safety. I was told by my suburban housewife buddy about a year ago to go with a certain airline as it was good about hating Trump. Sick

A 26-year-old, former beauty queen was actually flying the plane during the landing. This guy claiming that the male captain was “ultimately responsible” is BS. This was a harsh example of how DEI works in practice.

The cause was pilot error …coming in too fast at too steep an angle. The pilot’s gender is irrelevant, they simply didn’t have the skill or experience for the challenging conditions. DEI is the root cause. Pressure to have more women and minorities as pilots has caused airlines to hire for quotas rather than competence and experience.

...don't suppose there is any way to find out if it was the same PF (pilot flying)?
