Probably because there is most likely no smoking gun there. The real question is did Biden approve the use of the pen. If anyone were to ask him, he will say he did approve, end of story.

Tell your "friend" that before anything happens there has to be an actual investigation.

I know your "friend" wants to sit slack jawed and dull eyed watching while real life happens at the pace of movies but that is not the way it works.

They gotta charge someone who will claim he was pardoned, and run it up to the USSC. Otherwise it’s just a declaration of no import. Besides there a lot going on in the world.

Tell your friend that some things take time. First Trump took away Hunter’s security detail and they could move forward on the some of the charges and test the legality of Biden’s pardons. Trump says they are null and void. Pam Bondi might have mentioned it too.

Time will tell what happens. But it will have to be contested in courts and Trump has a lot more important things to worry about.

Sorry - Just because President Trump says the pardons and such are invalid don’t make it so in this case. I suspect there has been some wrong doing but nothing will come of it.

Nothing ever happens when lawlessness is exposed. The most we ever get is some Republican senators of congress people grandstanding for a few days. Not saying the autopen is lawless, but this is normally the case when laws are clearly broken.

I will be surprised if there are any charges ever when evidence is revealed that laws have clearly broken.

Can anyone point to one slam dunk case where justice WILL be served concerning the illegal actions by personnel of the past administration? They will get away with weaponization of the legal system with no reprecussions.

Only invalid if it can be proven the prez was also clueless about it.

Good luck with that.

I think the autopen is a distraction.

The real issue is the ability to pardon someone for crimes they haven’t even been charged with yet. That runs contrary to every kind of interpretation of “no man is above the law” and the only solution will be if Pam Bondi decides the evidence warrants charging someone like Hunter or Fauci or Schiff anyhow and fighting the pardon in court. I’m not a lawyer so I don’t know if that is a fight that can be won or not, but as a citizen, it sure as hell ain’t right.

Autopens have security. They know who used it. There were two signatures. You have to prove that Biden did not authorize its use. I think they are trying to figure out who was really president. The use of a autopen is legal. But only if its authorized dby the actual president, nobody else.

Investigations are in progress.

Trump has them in a double bind.

Call them before congress. They can’t plead the Fifth if the pardons are legitimate.

They can only plead the Fifth if the pardons are fake.

Don’t care about the pardons. Small potatoes. I’m more concerned about all the laws he might have signed with the autopen. The Constitution doesn’t say a president has to “sign” a pardon. I’m pf the opinion that it’s just like security classification. He can just “say it.” But the Constitution says he “shall sign” laws.

It was always vaporwarenews. Autopens have been used for a long time, Clinton was first I think. Trump probably used the autopen first term and will probably use it again. E-signatures are perfectly legal, so it doesn’t matter.

A president can’t invalidate another president’s pardons by saying so - I have no idea what the process would even be for doing this. In any event, I don’t think this is a road Trump should go down - absolute pardon power will be needed for his family, Cabinet and friends, as the Democrats will absolutely try to go after all of them the next time they hold the WH and DoJ. The Democrats started lawfare, they aren’t going to stop.

So many people believe that one man and his cabinet picks can turn the tide of decades of abuse in under ninety days. So many things are out of their control. They don’t even know where all their enemies lurk.

3 of the pardons were for cop killers.

1 pardon was for a man that killed an 8 year old child and its mother to prevent her from testifying in court.

Biden, for all his faults, would not have knowing issued those pardons. For most of his career he was considered a “tough on crime” politician

I think this is the smoking gun that, for at least some instances, someone else was running executive orders and pardons trough the autopen without Biden’s knowlege.

The way to set this up is to indict a pardoned nobody. Let them raise “pardon” as a defense to the indictment. Discovery ensues. Biden won’t have the fainest idea who this person is other than whatever he is told before his deposition. And, there won’t be any paper trail.

It is probably true but not a hill to die on.
We have to fight for the future and balance that fight against the fight over the corrupt past.

There is just so much of both.

This is perfect Surrender Monkey red meat. If they don’t see something every day they assume it is no longer happening.
They are forever the 6 year olds in the back of the car repeatedly asking ‘Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?”
