looks like a rough day shaping up tomorrow..
I’m catching hail right now. I went down to shut the lights out and the doors to the shop building and all of a sudden white hail came down without warning (unless you consider thunder warning). Dime sized and it hurt.
JK. Hope everything turns out OK.
Respect the polygon!
Mid West under the gun right now...im on the very edge in Michigan. Dont expect nothing here..maybe some gusty winds.
Every year…. All of my 65-yr life, in March… a few weeks before the Masters, terrible tornado outbreaks across northern Miss and Alabama. And every year, for the past 20, they act like it’s the new “end of the world”!
Do people really fall for this ?
I’m watching Spann’s afternoon update. He said the last time the threat level was this high was March 2021. I’m in the level 5 polygon...sigh
no idea what you mean by this....strange.
Thank you for posting. I attempted to post a warning for my fellow Alabamians, but my IPad is temperamental and wouldn’t post.
My PTSD is triggered. My small Alabama town was decimated in the April 3, 1974 tornado outbreak. I was three years old but I can remember the horrible noise and the screams of the Guin residents. Our family lost several friends that night.
This current threat is reminding me of April 27, 2011, when Tuscaloosa, Hackleburg and much of North Alabama was decimated. Governor Ivey has declared a State Of Emergency for Alabama for tonight and tomorrow. James Spann, our legendary meteorologist stated that this is the first time in history that a High Risk Level 5 was issued so early.
I know several people who are actually fleeing Alabama. They are going to Florida, Arkansas and even New York.
Citizens of Alabama and Mississippi PLEASE heed the watches and warnings. This is a dangerous situation. I pray that the storms dissipate.
Stay safe, basalt!
Same here. Not fun.
I remember the Guin tornado. It was awful! Stay safe!
It’s already passed. lasted 15 minutes and then some rain. Now clearing off. Really strange weather patterns. Must be that Climutt Chainz they keep talking about.
Brother in TN tells me they are on the list, too.
Prayers up for all these folks.
Well if it hits their community, then yes.
If you live in Tornado country....chances are there will be tornadoes....every year....year after year...century after century...
whatever....weird people, i swear.
one of the worst ever...at night no less...
well, according to some here...its really no big deal. The Guin tornado was one of the worst ever, buts its all in your imagination.
