Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) was slammed on social media and accused of hypocrisy over the way she criticized Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) for heckling and pointing his cane toward Donald Trump during the president’s speech to a joint session of Congress last week.
Boebert, during an interview on the right-wing Real America’s Voice, first sought to memory-hole her own interruptions of then-President Joe Biden’s speech to Congress in 2022.
She said: “You had some folks on the left trying to come out early and defend this behavior and compare it to an image of Marjorie Taylor Greene and myself, who were chanting ‘Build the wall’ while all other Republicans were chanting the same phrase and they just got that one image and acted like we completely disrupted the State of the Union."
“But Al Green was given multiple opportunities to stand down, to sit down, to behave, to show decorum. And he did not,” she continued.
Boebert then said: “For him to go and shake his pimp cane at President Trump was absolutely abhorrent.”

Old Al and a fellow named Rodney Ellis in cahoots with the now room temperature Shelia Jackson-Lee have had a very robust voter fraud empire running in Houston/Harris County for decades. Ballot stuffing, voter harvesting, fake mail in ballots, etc.
They have two LLC’s that work full time on this stuff.
Al is a total crook and a piece of trash. He’s one of several of these folks who have never worked a day in their adult lives.
As a person that requires a cane to physically walk everyday, I think Green is culturally appropriating a disability and I’m already targeted by having a disability and don’t need Al Green’s theatrical stain with his fashion cane.
It is a pimp cane. I didn’t see him use it one time on his way out.

I think it’s great that the dumbass RATS are attacking their beloved EVs. ROTFL! So much for their environmental crisis. I guess all the hugs for EVs were a put on. A show for those who sign the government grant paychecks.

I remember Huggy Bear; he was one of my favorite characters.
There is a controversial history of elected officials using walking canes for doing severe physical violence to fellow politicians on the floor of the US Senate during the 19th century. If fact a US Senator was nearly beaten to death with just such a weapon in 1856. This Green individual has a long history of brandishing his cane in movements suggestive of violence during public speaking events both in the US Capitol and at almost every public address opportunity he attends. These gestures could and perhaps should be interpreted as threatening actions. I am a bit surprised that the House leadership does not limit the use of canes to only lightweight tubular aluminum models that are medically approved assistive devices, and not permit heavy cast metal cudgels that could be used as deadly weapons to be carried in the Capitol building. Lightweight medical devices could still be used for dramatic emphasis purposes while speaking, without any physical danger to those who might disagree.
