Long list.
Started reading it and thought, ok, 60s, but it kept going. 25 years plus of concerts there.
Wish I saw The Smiths. Though, I think they weren’t as good live as their recordings, but they were a band I loved, even though Morrisey is a dick.
Emerson Lake and Palmer! I can’t believe it took 145 posts to see them show up with some of the lists some folks have.
I’m not much of a concert goer, but I did see ELP - great show in a small venue.
RUSH (5x)
YES
Leo Kottke (6??)
Willie Nelson (2x)
Phil Keaggy (3x)
I see that Jon Anderson is still touring! At $800 a ticket and up I think I’ll pass.
Bookmarking for later. Thanks!
Joan Baez tickets were $3.00 in 1971. Other performers charged more, but still less than $10 for decent seats.
Strawberry Alarm Clock! I saw them do a store opening (Wallachs Music City in Costa Mesa CA) in 1967.
Wow, impressive live shots at your link.
I think with those you win the thread.
Now that is a claim to fame! Lucky you. Anything in particular about the show you’d like to share?
I saw Simon and Garfunkle on their PSRT tour at a teen club (The Caverns) in Dayton,OH in the lower level under a shopping strip “mall”. The stage was 12” high so the acts were “right there” in front of the crowd.
The opening act was a local group, The McCoys, who had a hit with “Hang On Sloopy” and stayed on stage to be S&G’s backing band.
The McCoys’ lead singer/guitarist was Rick Zehringer who had some very high tech chops for a HS kid.
Later, RZ would move to LA, change his last name to Derringer and became a highly sought after session player for Steely Dan among others.
I apologize... I should have told you that Get The Led Out is a tribute band. The lead singer has the pipes that Robert, unfortunately, lost with age. Anyway, they have a sell out following. I think you’d like them.
I’ve been to six concerts overall and those consist of
1. Pantera and Type O Negative
2. Megadeth, Korn, Fear Factory, and Flotsam and Jetsam
3. AC/DC
4. Ted Nugent and Bad Company
5. Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band
6. Ted Nugent and Bad Company (again)
Jethro Tull is another great one but also not spending big bucks on Ian or any group. I was lucky to see them at a festival.
King Crimson was an interesting one. Not for everyone and I get that.
Bernie era Eagles was another great simple one.
Hiromi playing her own music at a small bar where I sat five feet from her.
(note: these are not my pictures)
And I saw Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels and the Steve Miller Band.
I’m guessing there’s more, but when you’re as old as I am the list is long and the memory short.😉
I keep remembering so I’ll keep adding:
Chris Isaak
Bob Dylan
REO Speedwagon
Emmy Lou Harris
The Bodeans
Gene Loves Jezebel
Bruce Springsteen
Robert Plant
Allison Krause
Electric Light Orchestra
Jamey Johnson
Ray Wiley Hubbard
Doobie Bros
Iron Maiden
Smith
Smith
I compiled the list long ago and add it as a remember others, and see new ones.

Well I bet that was a fine show. It’s “Because the Night” Patti. :-)
Was Bread the band that sang, “Baby I’m-a wan’ you! Baby I’m-a neeeeed you?”
The early 70s were a strange, wild wild west for music. Growing up in hippy/weirdo infested Ft. lauderdale was defining for me. So much diverse music on the radio — my other favorite band is, and always will be, Steely Dan.
Their song Do it Again is one of my all time favorites.
