Interesting thing...my wife was still still working full time and we both were collecting SS.
The FEDS were taxing our SS @ 85% of the benefit received for the year.
I wanted to have taxes taken out of both checks.
I had to go into a local SS office to do it. I couldn’t do it on line.
I got there about a half an hour early and I was like 80th in line and was one of the few white people in line.
I haven’t checked if it can be done online today.

To demonstrate how dysfunctional the department was when he took charge, he revealed that it’s organizational (Org) chart was incomprehensible.”
“There was no chain of command,” he explained, adding that “territorial” and “self-serving” employees were operating in “all these different silos and fiefdoms.”
According to Kennedy, within these silos, officials were “selling patient information to each other.” He told Cuomo that when he tried to obtain Centers For Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) depersonalized patient data—which belongs to HHS—”the sub-agency said we have to buy it from them!”
“It doesn’t make any sense. There were sub agencies that wouldn’t give us patient data,” he complained.

Karl Denninger has correctly pointed out what should be obvious – government grants to NGOs should be ILLEGAL because taxpayer money is being granted after which taxpayers have no control over how it’s used. That is GRIFTING.

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future. They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good. Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp. All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied. You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months. They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect. (Two posters on CTH that fit this description.)
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.

Finally, enjoy yesterday’s headline from Fierce Healthcare: “CDC, DOGE claw back $11 billion in COVID-19 grants nationwide as agency roots out ‘censorship’ contracts.”
It’s so much better than that. The article reported that a new directive “went out to HHS employees the morning of March 26, telling them to urgently identify contracts that may lead to censorship or cause someone to hold certain ideas more than others. Examples given included COVID-19 vaccine usage, masking and education and outreach advertisements.”
“Hold certain ideas more than others.” In other words, and for example, just one small slice canceled all studies on vaccine hesitancy, and similar sorts of thought control.
Put simply, the government spent billions making sure we thought the “right” thoughts about masking, vaccines, and school closures. Now the spanking robot is cleaning HHS’s house.

Its messy, chaotic, testosterone-soaked theatre. But the point isnt internal discipline. The point is external message control.
Heres what the leak really accomplished:
Europe just got humiliated. The chat reads like a roast of NATOs naval impotence. They outright say European navies cant handle the drones, cruise missiles, or anti-ship tech the Houthis have. Then they talk about billing Europe after the US clears the Red Sea. They even debate whether to extract economic gain from the cleanup. Thats not a leak. Thats a Mafia-style invoice.
The Houthis and Iran got the message loud and clear: We can ID your missile guy walking into his girlfriends building, and two hours later its rubble. Thats not a press conference. Thats a live demo.
And domestically? This wasnt about military planning. It was campaign messaging in real time. Biden cratered deterrence. Were restoring it. This is what decisive leadership looks like. The leak makes them look unfiltered, in control, and ruthlessly effective. Whats more politically useful than that?
Goldberg didnt stumble into a leak. He got invited to a premiere. And when he left the chat? No one said a word. Thats not an accident. Thats the tell.
What were watching isnt a scandal. Its a signal.
So no, this wasnt a dumb slip. This was informational warfare disguised as incompetence. The perfect modern psyop: loud, believable, morally grey, and impossible to unsee.
