I like Columbo... and also that mafia guy in the bathrobe who pretended to be senile.
“No, just the CO part most likely. “
Fire Department ruled out CO.
“Sorry it carbon monoxide not C02. A gas leak can cause that”
Gas leaks do not produce CO.
That’s sad. He has three adult kids, and probably grandkids. Nobody called him or stopped in for weeks. None of his kids who will claw over his millions even noticed he was gone until he desiccated in the high desert.
“Separate bedrooms? That’s bizarre?”
Not if they were having phone sex.
Possible scenario:
He was bedridden and reliant on her for food, medication, etc. She collapsed while in the process of bringing him his pills. He (and the dog) were left stranded and died from neglect (i.e. lack of food, water and/or medicine).
I would think that that was asphyxiation from the natural gas. No combustion, no CO.
I was a great admirer of his work. I could list so many, but loved Enemy of the State and The Firm
Interesting insight.
Gas leaks can kill by displacing the oxygen in the air, causing asphyxiation, or by releasing toxic gases like carbon monoxide which bind to the blood, preventing it from carrying oxygen, ultimately leading to death; both scenarios can happen when a gas leak builds up in a confined space, making it difficult to detect due to the odorless nature of the gas.
From a quick google search
Gas leaks do not produce CO.
Moving on then. Autopsy?
TY!

If it was some kind of “gas” leak...is it possible that the other two dogs that were not kenneled managed to go to the area of the house with the least amount of gas? That’s the only thing that would make sense of why two of the dogs survived. Only question is... are dogs really that smart?
If the heater is running it can produce CO.
I really doubt the bathroom heater used gas.
No signs of foul play. They came right out with that this morning.
Now, it sounds like a staged, murder, execution scene, with all kinds of signs of foul play. I hate these people!
Door standing open, pills spilled all over, dead dog in the closet, c’mon man!
Different articles say dead dog in bathroom closet while others say dead dog in kennel. Which is it?
