The couple's once in a lifetime holiday was overshadowed when a woman died mid flight and was placed in the seat next to them.
An emotional Australian couple have been left "traumatised" after they were forced to sit next to a dead woman for hours after she died suddenly mid-flight.
Mitchell Ring and Jennifer Colin were on a Qatar Airways flight from Melbourne to Doha, en route to Venice in Italy, when a woman suddenly collapsed in the aisle after going to the toilet.

I’ve worked Search and Recovery.
So you would be just fine sitting next to a corpse for a few hours?
That was small d dainbramage. When he signed up i confronted him that I already had the name and he asked if I would let him keep it. After looking at his postings I realized he was smarter and funnier than me so i said okay. Genius
They could lay it out in the galley.
Guess they were dead heading.
And appears he passed 10-16-22.
When I was going through arson training, we had to look at a lot of pictures of dead bodies, some dissected so we can have an an idea of when and how a body found in a fire might have died. The first thing the instructor told us, “If you have trouble dealing with this type of thing to just keep telling yourself, “It ain’t me.” This actually helped me a lot in the occasional times I had to investigate around the deceased. Still, I’m glad I never became a cop or a coroner.
So what you are saying is that, in the event of an emergency, everyone has to scramble over a dead body rolling around in front of the rear exit door?
I think everyone is right in wondering if there's not a better way but, that's the way it is right now because airplane manufacturers have not planned for dead body storage.
Apparently the woman was a big fatty and they couldn’t get her moved through the aisle.
Or they could strap the body into a jump seat for the cabin crew and a lovely stewardess could take the dead lady’s seat.
Or move the passengers to the apparently empty seats in first class.
Or stuck the body in a bathroom and closed that bathroom.
There are lots of better ways than this.
And if she was in an exit row?
Can’t put her in a bathroom if there’s more than one on the plane?
Shut up and enjoy the companionship of the corpse!
Big deal.
Don’t be a wuss.
Didn’t Chevy Chase put grandma in a canoe on the roof of the car when she died in National Lampoon’s Vacation?
Great. As if dead weight spillover from oversized passengers doesn't get people riled up enough already...
,,, fourteen and a half hours direct ex Melbourne to Doha.
No he just recently passed
You win the thread. Well done.
Drop them in the baggage compartment. It’s pretty cold in there. Or put a parachute on them and toss them out the door. Trust me, they won’t care.
