“We’ve got to protect our phony-baloney jobs!”
We’ve already suffered enough, so we might as well enjoy the show, even if there’s a little more pain, dumbass.
One thing to consider I’d those jobs are government jobs, sucking money out of the economy . When those people are employed in the private sector they will be contributors to the economy. Short term pain, long term gains.
The productivity of America can only improve.
Our economy needs a growth boost if there is ever to be a hope of reducing the Debt.
I guess the economic impact of 300,000 jobs would be about 1/3 the impact of 1,000,000 and that’s what I want to see.
They weren’t concerned Keystone workers were fired..
They weren’t concerned when I lost several jobs through buyouts..
They had no concern for anyone, until THEY get fired, then I’m supposed to feel sympathy..
Ain’t happenin...
Don’t consider it a job loss. The government hacks can just replace all the illegals that are getting deported. So it is really just a job change.
my neighborhood is 30% fedgov
so far no for sale signs
This is BS. When contracts are lost, the contractor’s employees are at risk. They do not work for the government. Their employer sells their services elsewhere or they get laid off. Real world.
You don’t have to use ABC Construction to build your home to ensure that its employees are kept employed. If its bid or work is not competitive, well that’s life.
these are not jobs. They are people consuming resources while providing no return value. Turns out their spreading democracy around the world was a lie. They were paying off dictators and terrorists while trying to overthrow elected governments. And none of this provides a positive economic return, you know, like I loan you a shovel and you give me back my shovel and a couple of sacks of the potatoes you grew.
Those laid off, fired or at risk would have a lot more credible complaints had they gone back their offices after the covid incarceration.
But they thumbed their noses at their bosses thinking a job is a right
I have little sympathy
Maybe we’ll have some more people to pick crops, and clean out our sewers.
Waaah! Waaaah! Waaaah!
Those of us in the private sector face layoffs all the time. You don’t hear us whining when there’s a layoff or downsizing.
A government job should not be guaranteed income for life.
Grow up.
... and get some real life skills that would make you employable in a real job.
Welcome to the real world. Sorry.
Yes, and I have long seethed at the ignoring of the landowners whose properties were ravaged by the illegals. Same story, ignored by the MSM.
But this “starving” dedicated innocent federal worker bees story is blared. Sad truth is that the fed is so pathetically monstrous that about everyone has a relative in the group, and is ready to buy it hook, line and sinker.
If you took MOST government employees and put them to work picking up trash on the side of roads, EVEN THAT would be a more productive.
Seriously, what added value does the TSA employee provide you?
What added value does an ATF employee provide you?
What added value does a department of education employee provide you?
So? What is the downside?
More capital and manpower freed up for the private sector to actually produce something!
