Rand Paul has offered an amendment to cut $1.5 trillion in spending from the 2025 budget.

So it’ll pass with GOP votes minus Rand Paul if his amendment is not included

Personally, I am disgusted with “Continuing resolutions” in place of discreet individual ON TIME budgets.
Nothing but mischief and pork trading.
And of course lots of STUPID hidden in fine print on page 7062 that will never be read before the vote.

Currently Warren (Mass.) has one that says anyone who earns $10 million will not get a tax cut. Kennedy (LA) is opposing.

They were playing Jeff Merkley from Oregon saying this is a billionaire’s budget
Merkley (Ore.) is back and offers an amendment to reduce prescription drug costs. Idaho’s senator opposes saying it’s irrelevant

So they can go in front of the cameras and tell the public that the Republicans want tax cuts for the rich. it’s a game. All over social media for the past week has been nothing but this budget is about taking away from Americans and giving “tax breaks” to the Billionaires. It’s disgusting...

It’s a distraction.
As long as baseline budgeting is being used, any talk of cuts is a farce.
Getting rid of “baseline” budgeting should be a priority.
