This is what I can’t understand. It wasn’t long ago, eight years maybe, when a doctor doing this would be arrested and imprisoned. I was a provisional director in an international company. The first thing discussed about any new idea was, “what’s our liability?” Doctors, hospitals, insurance companies don’t have lawyers? It was obvious from day one that this was the modern-day lobotomy; something medically fashionable that was going to be a huge problem down the road for patients, doctors who did it and institutions who allowed it. Lawyers, where are you?

All the arguments for this contradict themselves - because if those things *don’t* determine gender...then why do they need to be altered to begin with? If appearance, genitals, chromosomes, etc. don’t define sex and gender...why do they need chemicals to stop their natural biological processes and amputations and other mutilating body surgeries?
