“the broader effort led by Democratic lawmakers and federal employee unions to provide transparency and accountability about DOGE’s activities”

That’s too rich. The Dems aren’t concerned about the lack of transparency and accountability of Treasury transactions and the likely theft of hundreds of billions of dollars.

No, they are obviously concerned that DOGE will uncover and expose more fetid swamp and Democrat corruption, but they have to couch it in “we want transparency and accountability of DOGE activities.”

I hope Trump, Musk and DOGE absolutely DESTROY these corrupt Dems.

Deflect from the massive evidence of fraud and payoffs. That’s the ticket: audit the audit. That’ll keep the people confused. Anything to keep the corruption from being exposed.

Sounds like a violation of separation of powers. The legislative body does not have the authority to issue directives to the executive branch.
It can request but anyone on the executive side should have to clear any response with the chief.

I know an IRS collections agent. He said he could be fired for accessing taxpayer information without being assigned to the case.

Sounded like there were tight controls over what could be accessed.

‘‘We expect to begin our fieldwork immediately,‘’ Sciburba wrote. ‘’Given the breadth of this effort, the audit will likely not be completed until August; however, we recognize the danger that improper access or inadequate controls can pose to the integrity of sensitive payment systems. As such, if critical issues come to light before that time, we will issue interim updates and reports.‘’

translation:

We find a reason to shut these creeps down and throw them out of the building or in prison, which ever comes first.

The audit marks part of the broader effort led by Democratic lawmakers and federal employee unions to provide transparency and accountability about DOGE’s activities under President Donald Trump’s Republican administration.

But they didn't do it under the biden administration.

Why not?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Wouldn’t the “Treasury Department’s Office of Inspector General” be accountable to the treasury secretary? If so, did Besset approve of this?

For the IG to determine if DOGE is using properly secure methods, he must consult with computer security and help desk expert, Elon Musk.

There is a lawyer and a member of HR imbedded with every DOGE team. Good luck finding them doing something illegal. This is a joke.

President Trump should hire Musk as a Treasury employee, and give him all the security clearances needed to do the work.
