Senator Chris Coons✓@ChrisCoons: $300 million worth of medications are sitting on pallets about to expire thanks to Trump's effort to gut foreign aid. These drugs would've prevented people from going blind from a preventable tropical disease—Donald Trump would rather waste them in an East African warehouse.

I went to the source (inspected the HTML code on the original page from X), and it's hosted on the PBS website. I tried zooming in, but there's just not high-enough resolution to make out anything. The blue paper sheet on the end of a couple of the boxes has the largest font size of any but some printed carton text, and it is not legible at all. Best I can make out on the clearer of the 2 blue sheets (the one that has 336 hand-written with a Sharpie) is a line that looks to say "EXP DATE", and "01/24". So, if correct that this is the expiration date, it's already expired by over a year.
NONE of the bar-codes are clear enough to scan, so the original X post challenging Coons' tweet is questionable, unless the guy found a higher-resolution photo.
bkmk
Coons, you colossal liar. But we already knew that.
Unopened medications are hodd for several months to a couple years past their expiration date. That being said why would we be sending expiring drugs anywhere?
Exactly, why are drug companies sending almost expired medicines out?
Something is off about those boxes. The sloppy tape. The way they are stacked so high. Almost palatized without being wrapped.
Censure impeach remove Goons.
Coons a faker !
Not sure if the box on the end is the same as all the others, but it says: “EXP: 01/2027”.
The expiration date only says that it is at least the total amount listed on the label If it says August 2025, at 300 mcg, it will have 300 mcg or more by August 2025. After August 2025 you may have 295 mcg. Organic compounds break down into simpler compounds over time.
