Girl Scout cookie season—generally a six- to eight-week period between January and April—is pretty much its own holiday. Once those tables with green tablecloths hit supermarkets nationwide, we start dreaming about towering stacks of coconut-flecked Samoas. Or are they Caramel DeLites? (Wondering why some cookies have different names? Check out 9 Things You Didn't Know About Girl Scout Cookies.) Enthusiasm for their cookies is matched only, we think, by the ferocity of fans' opinions on the best varieties.
Which is to say: We know we're playing a dangerous game by picking the best (and worst) Girl Scout cookies. But here at Delish, we do the hard and sometimes precarious work for the sake of our readers. But first, some insight into how we made our choices :
What are the best-selling Girl Scout cookies? They say numbers don't lie, and we took them into consideration while making this list. According to The Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., these are the top-selling cookies:
1)Thin Mints
2)Caramel deLites/Samoas
3)Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs
4)Do-si-dos/Peanut Butter Sandwich
5)Lemonades/Lemon-Ups
We called on our team of very opinionated Delish editors. We also asked a few chefs to chime in, and of course, we looked to the internet to see what people are saying. Just a note: This is an all-time ranking and not all of these cookies are available every year. So here they are, ranked from worst to best...

Well,
If you want to save a lot of money and have them all year round, here’s the easily available equivalents
Keebler Grasshoppers (thin mint)
Keebler Coconut Dreams (the shortbread cookie is a little different texture, but effectively the same cookie)
Pyramid scheme using child labor
Are they still paying planned parenthood?
Conducting commerce on Sundays?
Pass.
Best copycat girl scout cookies.
The individual troops are USUALLY just moms trying to raise their daughters into fine young women.... Occasionally you will get a troop run by a dyke couple or wackadoo left wingers... but those usually fold pretty quickly.
The national organization however, has been completely taken over by left wing/lesbian crazies, unfortunately. They have had control of the national organization for more than 30 years.
Juliette Gordon Low would roll over in her grave with what these people have done to her orgnization.
Keebler sells a cookie that is just as good as Thin Mints at ½ the price.
Refuse to buy Girl Scout cookies ever since they went pro-choice.
Those mints are phenomenal. Haven’t had one in years, since I never see a Girl Scout around. :(
Keebler makes a good substitute.
Planned Parenthood cookies? No thanks! Besides, Girls Scouts by their name is a sexist organization.
Remember!! Buy/eat more bleached flour, sugar and heavily processed foods. It tastes good so it must be good.
They are all a zero in my book. Stopped buying years ago when the GS were outted as an abortion supporting organization. I’m sure there’s much more like DEI, black power, Jew hating bs taught to these girls as well.
I sneer at the mothers pushing this cookies and tainting their daughters.
If you support (buying the cookies) at the local levels, you are so also supporting national and international. How much do you think they get from each box of cookies sold, regardless of where it’s sold? That money is used to hurt women, girls and push woke policies and ideologies. No thanks
I used to always buy the cookies, but no more. And I no longer donate to the Boy Scouts either. Both went woke, so no money from me.
When many parents think of Girl Scouts, they imagine young girls in uniform selling Thin Mints and Tagalong cookies — not learning about stone labyrinths, world peace, global warming, yoga, avatars, smudging incense, Zen gardens and feminist, communist and lesbian role models.
But that’s exactly what many of 2.7 million Girl Scouts will learn about with a new curriculum called “Journeys” released last year.

I have not had any in years (I will not support the G.S.) but if memory serves they were nothing to write home about. I do remember when they were very tasty.
If you do buy cookies to support a local troop, remember they will not get to keep most of what they raise.
Don’t buy them and haven’t since they got affiliated with the baby slaughter industry.
Uhh, since the girl scouts went woke years ago like the boy scouts, why are you making them richer?
Boycott them like the drag queen funding ChicFilA.
Giving so much as a penny to any of them is like mailing a check to the CCP.
Chock full of toxic garbage
No thanks
Do-si-dos/Peanut Butter Sandwich forever.
While looking up the name, I found that they changed the name and maybe the recipe in the past year.
I am with you! I eat mostly carnivore and I don’t even eat most keto foods, but once in a while I will make a keto baked good for someone and have a bite or two. This link provides keto recipes to all of the girl-scout cookies and they are AMAZING! I am a dietitian and share this link with patients during GS cookie time. GS cookies are loaded with sugar, white flour, chemicals, hydrogenated oils and fund the leftist agenda. Not a change in heck I am supporting ANY of those things!
