Police searching for suspects in theft of 100K eggs

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Pennsylvania State Police are searching for suspects after 100,000 eggs were allegedly stolen from an egg distributor in Franklin County.
According to police, officers responded to Pete & Jerry’s Organics in Antrim Township for a reported theft of 100,000 eggs. The eggs were stolen from the back of a distribution trailer on Feb. 1 at 8:40 p.m.
Police said the stolen eggs hold a retail value of $40,000.
Police have yet to announce any possible suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information regarding the theft is encouraged to contact Pennsylvania State Police Chambersburg at 717-264-5161.

You buy a dozen pasture raised .... You will be paying almost a dollar per egg. In the last 24 months, 120 million egg laying chickens have been culled and killed due to disease. Though most have been replaced by new egg layers. It has been constant kill and replace.
