Nooooooo! What is the American security interests in occupying Gaza? Why should the American taxpayer be responsible for rebuilding Gaza? Hamas will fight tooth and nail our forces against our presence and Americans will die for what? I love most of Trump’s policies but this one sucks.

Let the Israelis do whatever they want to do in Gaza. We must stay completely out of there.
Trump is pure wrong on this one. We do not have time for this sort of mistake.

This one seems like a bad one, unless the people are removed first.
I agree. But the Israelis should be the ones to make the call.

WHY? American has wasted TRILLIONS in the Mideast. Why shouldn't we PROFIT from it. We have a new American Sovereign Wealth Fund. The U.S. should form a venture capital partnership with UAE and S.A. to turn Gaza into a new Dubai, but 10 times nicer and with better weather - and take perhaps 50% of all profits from the resulting real estate sale.
Bring back Mercantilism!
If we're going to have any involvement with Gaza, we have to ship every Gazan to Syria, Iraq or some other Middle Eastern hellhole, repopulate it with Americans and turn it into an American territory.
There is some precedent to this. Not exactly politically correct to say this. But there was "Trail of Tears" after all. Entirely different situation though.

It’s not, Trump said countries were all willing to finance. I think after it’s built into a huge tourist attraction on the Mediterranean it will end up an international zone.

This is...just weird. Does this mean we station US troops in Gaza? They’ll be sitting targets for Hamas terrorism. Any buildings we put up will be destroyed or unused, same as in Afghanistan - we should have learned our lesson about Muslim nation-building there. I hope Trump has something else in mind.
