The 19th century Ingalls family is getting a 21st century TV life.
Netflix has ordered a Little House on the Prairie series, 40-plus years after a long-running adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s beloved books aired its last episode on NBC. The new version comes from showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine (The Boys, The Vampire Diaries).
“Little House on the Prairie has captured the hearts and imaginations of so many fans around the world, and we’re excited to share its enduring themes of hope and optimism with a fresh take on this iconic story,” said Jinny Howe, vp drama series for Netflix. “Rebecca’s vision threads the needle with an emotional depth that will delight both new and existing fans of this beloved classic.”

Never watched the first version. Chances of this reboot. zero
Exactly. They act like turning things “real” and dark is edgy and artistic. It’s actually just lazy. But that is exactly the opposite of what America needs today, or really ever.
“They Died With Their Boots On” about Custer was not accurate about Little Bighorn. But it’s a great movie, was deeply inspiring, and helped bring Americans together in 1941 when we really needed it.
No thanks to a “film noir” little house reboot.
As if they haven’t ruined enough things.
Sorry, but go watch “Anne with an E” on Netflix... Which was their serious based on Anne of Green Gables... Trust me, Netflix shoves just as much woke/leftist nonsense in their stuff as any other media company.
First they make Anne a victim of sexual abuse (or at least exposed somehow to it) to make sure it has a “dark” vibe.
Then they slowly put more and more leftist/woke drivel in as time went on.
You will occasionally get lucky on Netflix and find something not total woke, but its usually something that was produced for foreign audiences that they get the North America distribution rights to.
Have you ever read if the battle at Little Bighorn was avoidable or survivable if different tactics had been used? Or if the die was cast for the massacre defeat once Custer and troops arrived?
Pretty much everything they touch.
I hope not. The original was wholesome and uplifting. If I wanted to have all the darkness of the world thrown in my face, I’d watch the news.
“Yes, the lady who was show runner on the libtarded Amazon show ‘The Boys,’ which was a long lecture against conservatives, men, and patriotism in the form of a superhero show, is now setting her sights on traditional, rural America.”
If you wokeify Little House on the Prairie I will make it my singular mission to absolutely ruin your project.

I’m sure Carrie Ingalls will be trans and her older sister will be the village slut. Charles will be a beta cuck.
LOL, the town will be full of vampire supervillians.
This is not going to end well is it.
Nah, just make her go blind from scarlet fever or viral meningoencephalitis. Oh, wait ...
Oh, God! Please, noooo!
Nelly will still be white.
Oh, I knew that. My joke was they are both monsters, with the only difference is where they hide (see: Southpark)
Well, that's the kiss of death right there. "Re-imagined for Today's Audience" has strangled some of the biggest franchises in Hollywood. Indiana Jones, dead. Star Wars, dead. Star Trek, dead. Lord of the Rings, pillaged beyond recovery. And one month from now we will be treated to a DOA re-imagination of Snow White.
Laura Ingalls decides shes a man.
What? Where did you read all this?
And the little one-room schoolhouse will have kids of every race. Maybe just a few whites, but the whites will be the dummies and/or bullies. The women of Walnut Grove will all be suffragettes marching for the vote, as the white males in town cruelly laugh at them.
She’ll be Laurence Ingalls.
