Exactly. They act like turning things “real” and dark is edgy and artistic. It’s actually just lazy. But that is exactly the opposite of what America needs today, or really ever.
“They Died With Their Boots On” about Custer was not accurate about Little Bighorn. But it’s a great movie, was deeply inspiring, and helped bring Americans together in 1941 when we really needed it.

Have you ever read if the battle at Little Bighorn was avoidable or survivable if different tactics had been used? Or if the die was cast for the massacre defeat once Custer and troops arrived?
Is “film noir” necessarily in black and white, or does it merely have to be about a dark subject?
I was thinking it had to be shot in black and white also.
