A suspect who allegedly stole a collection of military equipment and Humvees from the Army Reserve Center in Tustin was arrested, police announced Wednesday.

The suspect was identified as Alfredo Reyes Jr., 40, from Orange, according to the Tustin Police Department.

On Jan. 8, Reyes is accused of breaking into a storage warehouse and cutting a lock to access a military vehicle parking lot.

All stolen Humvees and military equipment were recovered during the arrest, authorities confirmed.

“We would like to thank our local law enforcement partners for their assistance and members of the public who provided tips in this case,” Tustin police said in a statement.

Cartel involvement is a logical guess. There’ve been a number of reports lately of weapons and ammo being stolen, recovered, attempting to cross the border etc.

You’ve got to be pretty stupid to steal something as conspicuous as a military Humvee.

Is this guy a circus performer? I’d like to see the trick he used to drive 3 HUMVEES at the same time. 2 at a time, I can see, but 3 at once?
