A more important question. Biden has been found mentally incompetent has been since the beginning of his term. So there will be a rollback of any laws, executive orders, or pardons. They can be reversed with proof of cognitive incompetence

““Free to go” means Free to go... If DC wants paperwork they can chase them down later if it is that important to them.”

I would bet there is no paperwork and if there was, it was destroyed on November 6th.

IIRC, pardons are considered a private matter that the individual must introduce into court proceedings for it to be acted upon by the government.

Pardons don’t apply to civil cases.

Time for a J6 class action suit against anyone involved in prosecuting them.

Did Trump pardon the J6 pipe bomber?

Didn’t deserters of the Vietnam war get pardons, when they never had been charged or prosecuted for anything? Maybe not, but that’s how I remember stuff.

So, then...from CFP:

“Here at DC Jail: all but perhaps two January 6 defendants are still locked up, and an MPD officer now tells their supporters outside that nobody else will be freed tonight from this facility despite Trump’s pardon order saying to let them out “immediately.””

DC prisoners are not yet convicted, so they can’t be pardoned. Cases are dismissed, but paperwork remains.

Marjorie Taylor Greene and others who have fought for their release should show up at the prisons IMMEDIATELY with arit in hand demanding their IMMEDIATE RELEASE!, And making it known that anyone that resists will be subject to prosecution!

They can still be called before Congress....and I’m betting they can’t use the 5th.

How many are actually in jail. And anyone who is waiting to be charged should be free just on the basis of “timeliness”.

As soon as he signed it, Trump ordered that these pardons be immediately delivered to the DOC to release the hostages poste haste.

Supreme Court case establishing the precedent. No, I haven’t read it. It’s too early in the morning.

Well...

(b) grant a full, complete and unconditional pardon to all other individuals CONVICTED of offenses related to events that occurred at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021;

[emphasis mine]

https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/granting-pardons-and-commutation-of-sentences-for-certain-offenses-relating-to-the-events-at-or-near-the-united-states-capitol-on-january-6-2021/

I stated yesterday that this is pointless unless he immediately issues an EO terminating all J6 investigations and grants immunity to all those involved.

Then that is not “Immediate” is it? Courts can hold it up for months...
