Just something I've felt led to share. Better to be prepared and not need it than to need it and not be prepared.

“Better to be prepared and not need it than to need it and not be prepared.”

How are you preparing?

“There were many however who suggested something more nefarious. Mainly, that the outgoing administration’s lackeys launched a denial of service attack on Free Republic, out of spite.”

Seems to me Firefox also limits how much access we have to Newsmax. When I access it sooner or later Firefox disables my reading too many of their articles. DuckDuckGo doesn’t have that problem.

The only reasons I remember for FR going down was server failure and forgetting to renew domain name and the latter still allowed getting here by IP address.

I’ve been here since May 18, 1998. Every major news event resulted in hours long blackouts thanks to 14.4K baud rates on dial up. It completely sucked.

That was the price you paid to be the most informed person in the office.

I remember that day. A bunch of us went over to Free Republic On Facebook & attached our real names to our handles, so we were able to enjoy the day.

Calling on the director of the FR Central Intelligence Agency.

OK, just kidding. Maybe John can get a direct line to John Radcliffe.
