Fans of the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles have a well-earned reputation for hooliganism.
The same holds true, of course, for the angry, self-righteous, and pathologically bigoted advocates of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
During Sunday’s NFC Wildcard Game at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — a 22-10 victory for the Eagles over the visiting Green Bay Packers — one now-infamous Eagles fan, later identified as Ryan Caldwell, an employee at a DEI-focused consulting firm, subjected Packers fan Ally Keller to a vulgar tirade that went viral on the social media platform X, thereby demonstrating what can happen when Philadelphia fandom and DEI combine.
Alexander Basara, who identified himself as Keller’s fiance, posted a clip of the verbal attack on X.
“What it’s like going to Philly just trying to root for your team… Unprovoked, uncalled for. Packers twitter, help me out and find this guy…. this is not okay I hate that my fiancé had this happen simply cheering for her team,” Basara wrote.
The 43-second clip first showed Caldwell clapping in Keller’s face.
Basara, while filming the exchange, tried to defuse the situation with garden-variety football talk. What Caldwell said in response was too vile even to commit to print.

I have to say I was very grateful and impressed by the Hunt family and their support of their kicker and his graduation speech. I doubt that many other owners would have done so. That being said, I wouldn’t wear a Raiders jersey to a home game of the Chiefs.
The Philadelphia Police are also investigating this for a disorderly conduct charge.
He may also face criminal charges.
IT IS DONE ALL THE TIME.
EVERYONE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO SUPPORT THEIR TEAM WITHOUT THIS KIND OF TROUBLE.
These were Green Bay fans, which probably means they are from Mister Roger's Neighborhood. (In the parts of the country that remain civilized, a woman doesn't expect a "man" to describe her using a pejorative.)
I’ve traveled to many NFL stadiums in support of my team— each time wearing purple/white. We act in a civilized and respectful fashion. Even during/after an heated overtime playoff game which ended with our tight end blatantly pushing off to score the winning touchdown, have never experienced anything that seemed threatening or dangerous except for Philadelphia.
It didn’t matter that the Eagles were having an easy time of it— there were many fans (and we were in very expensive seats and had car service) that needed no provocation and have ever since made me wish the entire city burns to the ground. I will never return to that city and do wish ill upon every fan and franchise. Which is a shame because I did respect and like the Flyers…
Everyone's now going to pretend that Eagles' stadium is a refined gathering place?
This woman who had her ego shattered has no one to blame but herself. She crawled down into a porta-potty and then complains about the taste of urine and feces.
For any outsiders who take offense, well, now you know what Eagles fans do and why sane, sober, moral, and prudent people don't go to home games.
My boyfriend and I went to a Phillies-Astros game at Vet Stadium wearing our Houston Astros jerseys and rooting for the Astros. We were visiting from Houston.
Nobody was rude to us at all. Just a little friendly trash talk.
This was in the late 80s, though.
“Think of the subways being safer when Bernie Goetz did his thing. I can’t help but bring him up.”
I was there in the ‘80s. They weren’t. Not until Rudy G. got into office.
I’m thinking about the 2 weeks after the shooting. Ridership was down 50% and it was safer as everyone thought riders were packing.
You could not pay me to wear my Cowboys jacket to a Philly home game....................
It was the 3rd time the vulgar twat had gone for on the woman.
So you condone the behavior and then insult the poster for a reminder that Philly fans are the most terrible in the NFL.
Congratulations on proving Phillyfans are bottom feeders.
Your behavior is further proof.
As long as Jerry is the owner, the Cowboys won’t win a damn thing.
True. I’m a Texas Longhorn fan, Class of 87.
I wear my Longhorn gear often, even in foreign countries.
It does spark conversations, but none have been rude, some friendly jesting sometimes.
I’m sure if I wore where the majority of the people are rude as hell, like Philly, I’d hear vulgar comments.
But if wearing the opposing gear at a game, causes the fans to get as vulgar as this DEI pos, then that person has a problem. Same with the folks that make comments about wearing a MAGA hat or gear.
It wasn’t really Santa, the real Santa couldn’t make it to the field because of snow.
No, I don’t condone it all. i also don’t like mouthy outsiders. And Could care less what you think of me.
Nice Christian response there Hypocrite.
mouthy outsiders aren’t wrong.
The Philly teams have a fan problem.
They can’t behave like mature adults and wallow in their cruelty.
I don’t like people who endorse bullying as an ok behavior.
you seem to have anger issues. perhaps you might reread parts of the Bible how Jesus would like us to treat one another.
I explained to you that the guy was a jerk, and he got what he deserved. You posted to me in an obnoxious way. Now you are cleaning to be the agreement party. You ate judging all Philly fans on one moron, and now you question my faith. You are the one with anger issues, now don’t post to me anymore.
Turned out to be a setup for social network clicks. Any man worth his weight would have physically defended his girlfriend’s honor. They are both glib about the insults.
