Owners of those monsters should be charged with negligent homicide at the very least.............

Not funny, but interesting. With so many of the shoplifting videos people say things like, “those darned Amish are at it again”.

Everybody knows what they mean.

So let me say this, “Those darned chihuahuas are at it again!”

Beautiful boy. One of the most horrific deaths imaginable, being mauled by animals. Rest in peace little one.

First time I ever saw pit bulls was in Florida in 1978. Nasty things that the white trash kept chained up outside to guard their drug stash, stolen goods, and property. Today in Memphis, it’s hard to find a dog that isn’t a pit bull or pit bull mix. When I walk my dog, I am equipped for encounters with viscious strays on the loose. My neighbor had to spend $3500 saving his dogs life after getting attacked. The dog was never the same.

This is so horrible. This happened in the county next to me. The boy was bike riding and the dogs were out loose (as apparently is the norm for them). He wanted to pet them, and they attacked him. His mother ran out and tried to shield him by lying on him, but it was too late.

These are pit bulls- their owner let’s them roam the neighborhood and apparently this isn’t the first time there have been issues with these dogs and owner.

Horrible, just horrible! I can’t understand why people own dogs that can kill them.

I’m still waiting to hear about a fatal dog attack by a pack of rabid and feral chihuahuas.

Prosecute and sue the owners for negligent homicide.

As we get ever closer to the end times, it seems that we are seeing more and more reports of this kind of thing happening. Is it the same “more and more” of earthquakes and other natural disasters, odd or increasing severe weather happening, and even mankind himself waxing worse and worse? There were a hell of a lot more stray dogs running around neighborhoods 30 years ago than you see today, and you did not read about them attacking anyone.

A pit bull showed up in my yard one day. I told the owner if it ever showed up in my yard again, I would kill it humanely. I have not seen the dog since.

I really wish certain dogs would be outlawed in this country as well as owners held criminally and civilly responsible for any problems caused by their dogs.

Seeing this reports really bothers me. I can’t imagine what that boy was thinking during the attack.

I work with dogs - for real, in hospitals and places - and this continues to be a sensitive subject for owners of “pits”. Some get very defensive saying things like, it’s the owner, not the breed. Forget there is not such thing as a pit bull breed, but I point out you can’t trust this “breed”.

It’s always the dog never hurt anyone, the dog has been around for years, etc, etc. People just do not understand certain animals. I equate these to the pet chimp that went off and tore the woman’s face apart. The women thought the little monkey was like a child.

I see someone with a pit and if I’m at a park, we leave. You’re dog might be the sweetest thing ever, but they might snap. And it’s not worth the risk.

Example here.........

Pics of the dogs here...

That second one doesn’t look like a pit mix to me, FWIW.

‘Unfortunately, the owner has not signed over permission for humane euthanasia at this point, but that may be coming in the near future,’ said Angela Miedema, the Volusia County Animal Services director.

If I owned dogs who did something like this, there would be no need for the county to euthanize the dogs. Each would have already been humanely euthanized with a 9mm hole in their head.

I'm not sure what the owner thinks she is accomplishing by denying permission. It is only a matter of time before a court orders it. Hopefully, she gets charged for the court costs.

Authorities said one was a pit bull and the other a mixed breed.

Pit bull mixed with what?

Dogs of peace, at it again. All degrees of pit bull 1/16th and greater need to be outlawed.
