I use my FR homepage as a scrapbook for things I find interesting online and might want to link to someday.
I stumbled across this gif a couple of weeks ago (I do not remember where) and uploaded it to Imgur.com and posted it on my homepage.
Yesterday I went looking for it on my homepage and discovered Imgur.com had deleted it.
Contrails are one of those things we are assured are a conspiracy theory and that contrails are always present from jets.
This gif shows that they can turn off the contrails at will and that they spray in a grid. Those grid clouds are not natural. They are a result of spraying in a controlled grid pattern.
The fact that this gif was deleted tells me that somebody does not want it posted. It will be interesting to see how long the new gif lasts.
My GOD!!! Stop. We all know what a f’g contrail is. Some flyboy please explain why the one in the video stop like that, like a switch was flipped!!!

As I said, I’m a 747 Captain and have roughly 20 hours. I’m Type Rate. On the 727, 757, 767 and the MD-11. The reason it starts and stops it because (as I mentioned) the aircraft is passing through an area that has dry or moist air. Exactly why you can look up and see 2 aircraft seemingly at the same altitude from the ground where on is blowing contrails and the other not.. One of them happens to be in moist air and the other one not, we typically have 1000 feet of vertical separation. Westbound is even altitudes and East Bond is odd altitudes. So two aircraft in opposite directions overhead may appear to be at the same altitude but actually will have a minimum of 1000 feet vertical separation.
Please state for the record then, “I saw the video in question and the abrupt ending of the contrials shown is not unusual at all. It can look like a swtich being flipped turning it off instantly - like in the vdeo in question.”
For the record!!! No different then when I’m following an aircraft at the same altitude as me with 30 miles of lateral separation and they start blowing contrails and then stop. It is passing through moist air as opposed to dry air, I don’t know how many times I can say this. I’m also a former military pilot… If there was something on board that could be triggered mechanics certainly cannot keep their mouth shut! We would know!!!
Of course you would know. So a contrail can stop like that, instantaneously?
Absolutely!! Tell you what, the next time I do a daylight pacific crossing and get into the same situation (that have experienced 100’s of times) I’ll whip out my phone and film it. I’ll get it to you somehow. I’m Anchorage based and 95% of my flying starts out heading to Asia.

Perhaps that plane was crossing into Tennessee airspace; where chemtrails are illegal (since March 2024). :-)
There are many possible reasons for that.
Regarding the sudden cessation of contrails, it could be that the aircraft was in descent or climb out of the narrow altitude band conducive to contrail formation.
Other reasons are passage through an air mass boundary, for example, crossing a jet stream axis or a frontal passage aloft.
As for the different shutoff of the contrails for the two engines - one engine was operating at a slightly higher temperature than the other, so that the exhausting H2O/CO2 condensate have a slightly different cooling rate.
Or you can believe that it’s the government trying to poison us all in a conspiracy with Big Tech, Big Pharma, and Trump.
Very unusual to hear prop planes this time of night.
Seems to me the contrail would taper off and not shut off like that. The quick shut-off seems artificial.
Again, where did I say it was ALL aircraft?
