North Korea says cooking hot dogs or sausage is now an act of treason

Trying to find your way into a North Korean work camp?

We can help! You could always go down the classic avenues of sharing the Gospel or listening to K-pop, but if you want to be considered current on mad-dictator trends, hot dogs are all the rage.

That's right!

Kim Jong-un has issued a national ban on hot dogs and sausages. The new rule comes amidst a growing popularity in the North for South Korean culture, and thanks to the constant U.S. presence since the Korean War Skirmish, hot dogs and sausage are very popular in South Korea.

Kim has also forbidden the sale of budae-jjigae, a South Korean-American fusion dish made from an umami-rich broth, Korean hot pepper paste, flakes, kimchi, and American Spam, beans, and sausage.

The hotpot dish, which means "army base stew", contains hotdog meat or spam which has been banned in the North.

This has to be one of those rules-for-thee, not-for-me laws.

There's no way this guy has ever met a hot dog he didn't love:

I never understood why people get upset about ketchup on a hotdog. Or any other toppings for that matter.

Mind your own wiener. That’s my philosophy.

What next? Banning potato chips?
Then, that too, will become a Must-Have item.
Another note on the list of contraban.
