Progressive billionaire and Democratic Party activist and megadonor George Soros received the nation’s highest civilian honor from President Joe Biden at a Saturday White House event.
Soros was one of 19 people to receive a Presidential Medal of Freedom, joining the likes of Hillary Clinton, Bill Nye, and Magic Johnson during a ceremony that was broadcast live in its entirety by CNN.
Alex Soros accepted the award on behalf of his 94-year-old father, embracing the president as the White House celebrated the billionaire investor and progressive activist, saying of him:
Accepting on behalf of George Soros is Alex Soros. The Presidential Medal of Freedom is awarded to George Soros. Born into a Jewish family in Hungary. George Soros escaped Nazi occupation to build a life of freedom for himself and countless others around the world. Educated in England, he settled in America as he became an investor and philanthropist, supporting key pillars of open societies, rights and justice, equity and equality. Freedom now and in the future. His inspiring generosity reminds us all of our capacity and our obligation to stand up to the abuse of power and to be guardians of democracy and all people yearning to be free.
Soros’s contributions to progressive causes – as his support for progressive district attorneys in urban areas as of late – have made him a target for conservatives for years. Many on the right lashed out after the White House announced the billionaire would receive the award.

You can doubt and believe what you want, I think I will trust in the word of those who were there. You think that a person cannot be evil at say 12? You are very very naive if so.
I’m done, I have no patience for those who know better than those who were there.
I take it as an ‘end of an era’. This whole club...Clinton’s, George Soro’s, Biden’s, Bush’s, etc., all of them - those in the club giving each other accolades for their life’s work. It reminds me of Hollywood.
The D’s have no plan for their successors because they were purely and only aligned with self-interests, not the future.
They are at their weakest, we need to recognize that.

Soros is considered a criminal with an ‘arrest on sight’ order in several countries.
Of COURSE Biden would award him a medal.

1- Biden pulled together every working brain cell and did this as a final FU to everyone in the world.
2. Whoever is actually running the government made the decision.
I’m 94, I think that’s his age too.
in 1940 I was 10 years old. I ferried messages between people back then because of German spies. But I was never asked to sign legal documents for anyone of course. So I never understood the Soros story.
Heard Messa not only didn’t show up to receive the metal. He didn’t even send a representative to accept it.
So much evil this man has done....just not sure about the Nazi bit.
