Progressive billionaire and Democratic Party activist and megadonor George Soros received the nation’s highest civilian honor from President Joe Biden at a Saturday White House event.
Soros was one of 19 people to receive a Presidential Medal of Freedom, joining the likes of Hillary Clinton, Bill Nye, and Magic Johnson during a ceremony that was broadcast live in its entirety by CNN.
Alex Soros accepted the award on behalf of his 94-year-old father, embracing the president as the White House celebrated the billionaire investor and progressive activist, saying of him:
Accepting on behalf of George Soros is Alex Soros. The Presidential Medal of Freedom is awarded to George Soros. Born into a Jewish family in Hungary. George Soros escaped Nazi occupation to build a life of freedom for himself and countless others around the world. Educated in England, he settled in America as he became an investor and philanthropist, supporting key pillars of open societies, rights and justice, equity and equality. Freedom now and in the future. His inspiring generosity reminds us all of our capacity and our obligation to stand up to the abuse of power and to be guardians of democracy and all people yearning to be free.
Soros’s contributions to progressive causes – as his support for progressive district attorneys in urban areas as of late – have made him a target for conservatives for years. Many on the right lashed out after the White House announced the billionaire would receive the award.

Absolutely — Scott Presler deserves this medal, and more, after what he did.
I don’t recall how many thousand Amish he is responsible for getting to the polls for Trump. It’s even more amazing that he’s a homosexual whose appearance is hippy-ish, but he still earned the trust and respect of that group.

I’m okay with this. There was a time when Democrats were savvy enough to hide their true nature. It gave them plausible deniability and enabled them to hold onto adherents who otherwise would have left the fold. These were people who liked the possibility that Democratic policies would eventually lead to “utopia.” Biden has lifted the septic tank cover on the Democrats, revealing the seething mass of Sh**-covered underworld creatures that inhabit the heart of their party. The more he does, the fewer voters the future Democrats will have. And, best of all, most of the things Biden did can be undone by Trump. I hope Trump has someone keeping a list and keeping the reverse orders up to date and ready for signature.
I believe that this is the first time that a Nazi collaborator has been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Well Soros certainly gave Hungarian Jews freedom.....from their lives when he sold them out, literally, to the Nazis.
He was just a boy in the 1930s.

Soros sold out his fellow Hungarian jews to the Nazis for money and then stole their valuables from their homes, what’s to understand? My parents and their families were in Hungary at the time so I think they and their friends who immigrated here to America after the war might maybe just know the trues story about just how low the snakes belly is to the ground.
So,he did all that when he was a kid?
He was 14 at the end of WW11.
