I can be casual friends with Democrats, but not close friends.
My son has uber radical beliefs. He’s not a democrat, but not a Republican either. I just don’t discuss with him my beliefs and he likewise. He’s my son. I love him. He still lives here at home with us. He’s 26. I’d do anything for him. He’s had it rough. I pray every day God will change his heart.

There is a difference between being friends and being friendly.
No, but my niece, three years younger than me, a radical leftie and I have realized politics are off limits. Especially after a family get together in a restaurant, she and I devolved into a full blown mashed potato and salad fight. I was zingy her with full spoons of potatoes and she was slinging me with lettuce. It was horrible.
My oldest was a crazy walk on eggshells kind. Been 10 years.
Second was a bully and liar. She dangled kids... I would not let them be used like that.
Third was a mentally ill drug alcohol addict. Not much left there...sadly.
I have one who makes up for it.
The new will reflects it.

I had a neighbor who needed to replace his well pump, I offered to do it as I had a Well puller and his well was over 300 ft. down. I went over set up and tuned into my Fav radio guy the Rushbo show on my truck. My neighbor informed me that he hated Rush and would appreciate it if I turned him off. I said no Problem and after I turned it off I started packing up my equipment. He was very upset and asked what the problem was. I said I was doing him a favor and in lui of pay I would have liked to listen to a show I enjoyed. He ended up paying a guy 4000.00 dollars to pull and install a new pump which I would have done for free.
Good for you for standing your ground. Rude leftists abound.

Once upon a time, it was possible when the Dem party actually loved America and allegedly represented the working class man.
