Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) claimed Thursday on MSNBC’s “The Last Word” that President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for FBI director, Kash Patel, has “nightmare views” that will “close the part of the FBI that helps protect us” against foreign terrorism.
Whitehouse said, “Remember the history of all of this. We, for a long time as Americans, have made the determination that we did not want the CIA and other American intelligence agencies operating within the United States against Americans. And the FBI had a criminal law enforcement responsibility, and it was focused on terrorism primarily as a criminal act.”

So, Senator, how do you define "foreign terrorists"?
Is it those considered foreign to perogatives of DC, like latin mass Catholics, people who happened to be in the vicinity of DC on 1/6/2020, and parents speaking up at school board meetings? Because that seems to be the focus, rather than groups like Tren de Aragua, who were obstensively brought into the US by the Biden administration. It would seem to me if the FBI is more interested in going after the political enemies of Democrats and DC, rather than foreign actors killing and threating innocent Americans on American soil, that the FBI is an organization that should be disbanded.
