Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov says that currently only Biden is authorised to engage with Russia on behalf of the United States.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that Moscow is not satisfied with the proposals of US president-elect Donald Trump’s team to postpone Ukraine’s membership in NATO for 20 years and to deploy a contingent of EU and UK peacekeepers in Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has already rejected the “peace proposals” of Trump’s team, according to TASS news agency. Although there have been no official initiatives from the United States yet.
In an interview with TASS, Lavrov said, “Judging by numerous leaks and Donald Trump’s own interview with Time magazine on December 12, he is talking about ‘freezing’ hostilities along the line of engagement and transferring further responsibility for confronting Russia to the Europeans. We are certainly not satisfied with the proposals made by representatives of the president-elect’s team to postpone Ukraine’s membership in NATO for 20 years and to deploy a peacekeeping contingent of ‘UK and European forces’ in Ukraine.”
Lavrov admitted that Moscow has not received any official signals from the United States on the Ukrainian settlement at the moment.
“Until January 20 – the date of inauguration – Donald Trump has the status of ‘president-elect,’ and all policy on all fronts is determined by the incumbent president and his administration,” Lavrov said.

Zelinski miscalculated when he run his mouth about cutting off all Russian fuel... that was his only source of fuel. Now the Russians see the ENDGAME - cutting the fuel destroys the Ukrainians and EU at the same time.
Without the pipelines no US LNG can be sent to Ukraine per the 2026 contract. Russia now has the keys to victory.

Russia outproduces the US and all of NATO combined, and they amassed over 1.5m soldiers while reducing Ukraine from 1.2M to 325k today. Ukraine is basically out of infantry.

If Russia does not continue pumping fuel thru Ukraine after Janaury 1st, 2025, Ukraine will be completely defeated within 30-days and surrender will be much faster.

However, if Russia takes out gas pipelines in Western and / or Central Ukraine, then the Ukies are justified in taking out gas pipelines in far Eastern Ukraine and anywhere in Russia, at whatever range the Ukies can hit them: That presently is at least 1000 km by drone, 700 km with the Peklo cruise missile, and unlimited km by sabotage.

In any of those countries, a change in leadership is not a “fall of the government” as a whole.
