A Texas father says his four-month-old twins have been mistakenly deported along with their mother and siblings in an immigration mix-up.
Federico Arellano Jr says his wife Christina Salazar and their four kids were put on a plane on December 9 after missing a hearing with an immigration judge.
He says that he is a US Citizen - along with three of his four kids. It's unclear what Christina's status is.
Despite being born in Houston in October, the twins were sent to Mexico with their mother.
Now, Jr. is fighting to bring them all back, describing it as an ICE misunderstanding.
He said his children were crying as they and Salazar were taken into custody.
The distressed mother later told KHOU that Arellano Jr. was not allowed to say goodbye to the twins in the moment and she was unable to call for help after agents had ripped her cell phone away from her hands.
Attorneys Isaias Torres and Silvia Mintz, who are representing the family, said that Salazar was born in Mexico and married Arellano Jr. in 2019.
It's unclear how he obtained citizenship, or how long he has been living in the US.
The family believes they were harshly punished for simply missing the hearing.
Now, they are begging to be reunited.
'Because their babies are US citizens, they deserve to be here and get the attention they need - the medical attention they need,' one of their lawyers said.
'They were shocked and surprised that they were separated,' another added.
Trump and his incoming border czar Tom Homan have made no secret of their plans to implement mass deportations and family separations when they take office.
Homan makes no apologies for it either.

They’re starting these stories before the evil Trump and Homan are even in?
“It’s unclear what Christina’s status is”
Seem like a readily ascertainable piece of information. Until it’s disclosed, let’s go with a rebuttable presumption that a) she is here illegally, and b) she pinched out a couple of kids to increase her odds of staying here.
“The family believes they were harshly punished for simply missing the hearing.”
Simply? Yeah, right.
When you miss a hearing there are usually harsh consequences. In civil matters, it is typically a default judgment.
Most courts will grant one reset but may find a person in contempt who “simply” misses his or her court date.
I don’t know much about these types of hearings, but I’ve often read that they are scheduled far in advance because of the huge backlog of cases. (Thank Biden.)
Were the actually *deported* or was the mother deported and chose to take the kids? If they were deported did she show the birth certificates?
NONE of the online reporting that I've seen gives the reader anything but a sob story, which in today's society is to be expected.
The story is missing so much detail it’s impossible to know what really happened, whether the father even knew, etc.
I bristle at those who don’t pay attention to detail. LOL, I gave my wife a bit of a hard time this morning, when she inquired about my looming year end bonus. She passed over my text due to the activity on her phone. It’s a constant issue with her: she has six sisters who blow up their phones with constant threads.
She expects me to give her a pass, I’m too old to deal with that nonsense. Call me a curmudgeon, the title fits me to a T.
So, they were all crying???
El boo hoo.
I cry at my nearly empty shopping cart while illegals are gleefully filling their shopping carts with expensive meats, foods, fresh vegetables and paying for them with Obama bucks.
Too bad, skipped the hearing and it has consequences.
If you read all the way to the end of the Daily Mail story past all of the part about this being the saddest family separation mistake ever made. You will see what the story’s really about it’s about that Nasty Evil Border Czar Tom Homan and how he is a cold heartless robot marching to Trumps ice cold migrant hating orders.
Watch for many more stories like this one to be flooding the airwaves in the coming days. By the way Tom Homan doesn’t start as Border Czar until Jan 21st
Why do you think this tugs on heart strings? She broke the law and then failed to show up for a court hearing.
The father is free to visit his family in Mexico.
Life can be disappointing when you’re here illegally.
...but if the mother is not a citizen, and she wants to take them with her when she's deported - adios. "Vuelve cuando tiene dieciocho anos." (Come back when you're eighteen years old).
...and who says we live in a patriarchy?
DOG, THE BOUNTY HUNTER, HAS MADE A CAREER PROVING THAT.
.
HIS citizenship is NOT clear in the story.
If the father is legal, so are his children who were born here. However, if he had gone through proper channels when he married his wife, this would not have happened. My SIL is a Filipina, (now a US citizen) and when my brother married her in the Philippines, he had to come home without her, as they had to go through legal immigration policies before she could enter the States.
