The San Francisco Department of Public Health has hired a self-described "anti-weight-based discrimination" expert to consult on "weight stigma and weight neutrality."
Virgie Tovar, the author of 'You Have the Right to Remain Fat" and other published works on "fat positivity and body acceptance" announced on her Instagram Monday that she was hired to consult for the department, calling the collaboration an "absolute dream come true."

I’m in a Christmas play / musical. Backstage is crowded. The main narrow hall has room for three normal sized people to stand side by side and pass.
Most performers are air fat they completely fill the hall. People have to back out.

She is deliberately uglifying herself. Even without losing any weight (which she would be well advised to do), she could do much to make herself more attractive.

She exposes her inner ugliness for all to see and hear (and maybe smell).
I’m guessing she has no idea how she really looks. Talk about your body dysmorphic disorder!
Obesity causes many health issues and those they do not cause they make worse. Also lowers your quality of life and increases stress as your entire organ system is more stressed just to keep you functioning...not being able to get out of a chair as easily and having pain in joints also is not a great thing to have.
There should be no “fat shaming” - but “fat acceptance” is just as evil. “Health” is not what these people are focused on, clearly.
I suppose it's possible that she's so lost in delusion as to think that looks good. If so, she's nuttier than squirrel turds.
I still think it's deliberate ugliness. I'm open to persuasion, though.
She looks like a cross between Roseanne when she was fat and Buddy Hackett.....not my type either way.
She may have the “right to remain fat,” but I have the right to tell her that she is not right in the head!
