Bloody Brits.
Funny. Love homemade cranberry sauce with oranges. Everything’s good when made with love and caring. It’s the company, in the long run, not the food, great as that is.
For some, high on that list would be Fruit Cake.
There are some very good Fruit Cakes, and others that are almost diabolically bad.
Similar to “Ugly” Christmas Sweaters, which have become quite popular as lighthearted novelty items.
“I got a Christmas Sweater that was SO ugly, that......!!”
Fruitcake saved from last Christmas.
I loved brussels sprouts as a kid, still do. But I don’t think they are considered a Christmas food here.
LOL - no surprise at the number of British foods on this list.
I can’t believe folks don’t like mince pie...
Grilled or pan roasted are nothing like the water logged things I remember as a kid🤣🤣
I still don’t buy them, fix them or eat them......I grew up on a farm and the only veggies we had were what we grew in a large garden and Brussel Sprouts wasn’t one of those...Plenty of others tho’ that had to be weeded, prepared for canning etc. Our job was done after the picking, shelling peas, cutting corn off cobs etc., then we (kids) could leave the house and the rest was up to our mother. Later it was taking all the jars of canned food down to the cellar..
The CO of my ship hated brussel sprouts and accused our supply officer of having an entire tank on the ship filled with them.
For the record, I 100% agree with you - hated them as a kid, but like them now if prepared correctly, which is usually the way he describes, minus the last two steps. (That said, I wouldn't complain about the last two steps, either.)
Initially I thought this was just clickbait crap but I shifted my cynicism a bit and saw hate, bad, worst in headlines with the word Christmas attached. In defense sometimes headlines include “or best” but in general leans negative. I think this time period should be positive and hopeful. Kick back with Dean Martin's rendition of ‘Let it Snow’ and just decompress.

Christmas pudding with brandy butter is phenomenal!
Haggis and scotch; bag the haggis and drink the scotch. then try the haggis if so inclined and well oiled.
I don’t like cranberry sauce (it’s a textural thing), but ai’m more than eilling to eat everything else on that list.
Mmmm, mince pie...

Turkey is good. Otherwise they are spot on. The rest on that list are gross.
Its an issue of bad parenting really.
If you raise your kid on nothing but microwaved chicken nuggets and boxed macaroni then dont be surprised when your kid grows up to think these are gourmet dishes. You also shouldnt be too surprised if they are sickly and develop other issues.
I dont know what this is really like in Britain right now but look at the some of the stupid holiday food trends being pushed by various influencers and the media today. Some of these new things are just disgusting and will be thrown overboard but I think the better old things will continue for a good while just maybe with a few additional things.
“None on the list I hate, though as a kid I hated brussel sprouts, but I love them now if grilled”
Thin sliced, seasoned, add copious amounts of Bacon......yum
