It's growing more and more difficult to enjoy any form of entertainment these days without being bombarded by woke agendas. Even some movies you expect to be safe from preachy progressivism end up ambushing you. How can you know ahead of time if a movie will end up being woke?
Here are some common warning signs:
1. The director promised a "fresh take" for a "modern audience": These are code words for "a bad, woke movie."
2. You've been notified that you're a homophobic racist misogynist if you don't like it: Not a good sign.
3. There are white males in the movie, but they're all incel supervillains who punch puppies: Well, at least white males made it into the movie.
4. It has a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes: And if the audience score is near 0%, then it's a double sign.
5. It doesn't star Kirk Cameron, Kevin Sorbo, or Dennis Quaid: Ruh-roh!
6. The movie is a remake of a beloved IP that no one ever asked for a remake of in the history of the universe: Yep, it's woke.

I am so looking forward to the premiere of the new Snow White. It’s going to be a cinematic Hindenburg, and it’s going to be glorious
I think Disney is gambling that it’ll do well overseas.
I think it would be fun to stand outside the exit and interview people who’ve just seen it.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to make money, not change the world.
A character must be likeable, admirable or interesting.
Rewriting scripts is far cheaper than filming.
Right now, I really don’t have high hopes for the Netflix reboot of “The Chronicles Of Narnia”.
Irking even 1% of your customers might hurt you 10 to 20 times afterwards.
The only thing I know for sure is that it'll be crap.
Istill don’t know why everyone approved Shrek.

Who knows, but it looks like they need about $600 million in ticket sales to break even. Disney surely has some very patient (or complacent) shareholders to put up with the fruits of their woke productions
“Given the reported budget and a presumed major marketing spend, even if we’re being generous, that means Disney’s investment is in the $300 million range. Because theaters keep around half of the money from ticket sales, that means we’re talking about a movie that now needs to make around $600 million worldwide (give or take) just to break even in theaters. That’s no easy task.”

My dear late father had a habit of going to highly anticipated movies, and upon exiting he would shout to the crowd waiting for the next showing “Save your money!”
“Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to make money, not change the world.”
I quote Charlton Heston:
“The trouble with movies as a business is that it’s an art,
and the trouble with movies as art is that it’s a business.”
Not sure how they're getting away with it. We haven't seen any new Star Wars movie for five years. Guess they've realized that the movies suck so they're trying to scam us if they put it off sometime in the near future hoping we won't notice.
Any current era film that is characterized as a ‘coming of age’ drama. It’s going to be about a homosexual adolescent, frequently being groomed by an older acquaintance.
And Walt made money by catering to families with a mix of entertainment. The 20,000 leagues under the sea ride took about 20 minutes. Most rides today are over in 1-3 minutes tops. Movies were humorous with a moral that had good vanquishing evil. And the wonderful world of Disney was about unambiguous stories, good cinematography, and an appreciation of America. Not today’s Disney
Looking forward to the upcoming Superman. Rumor has it that is veering back in the feel good direction of the Salkind original film with Chris Reeve without the negativity of Superman Returns. Here’s hoping.
