It's growing more and more difficult to enjoy any form of entertainment these days without being bombarded by woke agendas. Even some movies you expect to be safe from preachy progressivism end up ambushing you. How can you know ahead of time if a movie will end up being woke?
Here are some common warning signs:
1. The director promised a "fresh take" for a "modern audience": These are code words for "a bad, woke movie."
2. You've been notified that you're a homophobic racist misogynist if you don't like it: Not a good sign.
3. There are white males in the movie, but they're all incel supervillains who punch puppies: Well, at least white males made it into the movie.
4. It has a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes: And if the audience score is near 0%, then it's a double sign.
5. It doesn't star Kirk Cameron, Kevin Sorbo, or Dennis Quaid: Ruh-roh!
6. The movie is a remake of a beloved IP that no one ever asked for a remake of in the history of the universe: Yep, it's woke.

Are there any movies these days, that are NOT woke?
Does anyone know any serials made today that don’t have the F* bomb? I find it so irritating that serials just dump this in - you don’t NEED to do so
If the remake is described as “re-imagining” Yep it’s woke.
The Press Secretary hires a black IT guy who is a homosexual. In one episode, his black hunk of a boyfriend breaks up with him when he finds out he has HIV. In a later episode he gets beaten up because he is gay.
The new chief of staff has a vendetta against a big drug company because his wife is addicted to one of their opiates.
The ex-Chief of Staff and now chosen for the VP, is Hispanic and has to deal with grumblings from the Latino community.
And last but not least, President Kirkland's brother-in-law is a transvestite whose name is Sasha and has been living in France. Kirkland brings Sasha to the US to live with him in the White House to help take care of his daughter (Kirkland's wife was killed in an auto accident during season 2) and help deal with LGBTQ issues. In the latest episode, controversy arises when Sasha is kicked out of a women's bathroom.........
That was it, I stopped watching the series.....
Yup, saw that movie. It was good, but am looking for a clean serial.
Landman might be worth a shot. Paramount+ series
Notice that the villains are always white nationalist insurrectionists “opposed to democracy” in these network series.
The leftists have been pulling this crap since “Seven Days In May” in 1964.
I can think of a lot of tv type serials that don’t drop swear words. Older ones.
Movies, again anything old.
FWIW, most of the stuff we watch is old.
Without knowing a genre or genres you prefer, if any, go for age.
Which is wild because hubby is an uber geek.
The first movies we bought were The Thing from Another World and The Scarlet Pimpernel .
Both were B&W.
Definitely not woke. If it was a movie it would be get a strong R rating.
7. The movie is produced by Disney.
definitely
I remember Ali Larter from the Heroes series way back. She does a good job as Tommy’s ex, Angela. And the ringtone when she calls his phone... lol
And her picture of her screaming face on the phone.
lol
#1 Disney made it!
Yup, the “go for age” - come on, you can have a serial that doesn’t use bad language.
we were watching “The rookie” - nice season 1 and 2 and it didn’t have bad language.
Not a chance.
“I am so looking forward to the premiere of the new Snow White. It’s going to be a cinematic Hindenburg, and it’s going to be glorious”
It’s either going to be released after the Oscars (the traditional release window for known bombs) or it will become another “The Day the Clown Cried”, never to be seen.
