Former President Clinton blamed the “mainstream media” coverage of Hillary Clinton’s email controversy for her 2016 presidential loss.
During an interview with MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough on “Morning Joe” that aired Monday, the former president discussed an excerpt from his recent book, “Citizen,” published in November.
In the book, he detailed the rage he felt after his wife, the former Secretary of State, lost to President-elect Trump in the 2016 election, and how he believes the media blew the email scandal out of proportion.
“It’s easier for us to know what happened in 2016 in some ways than it is what happened in 2024 … because in 2016, you had two highly unusual things,” former President Clinton began, in a clip highlighted by Mediaite.
“First of all, the mainstream media told the American people repeatedly that the biggest issue was Hillary’s emails. That’s what they said,” he continued.

Obama was always deceitful, while Billary, Inc. is just a pair of frauds, speaking fraudulent ideas. Obama knows he’s lying, while Billary, Inc. believes what they say. By the by, they taught Biden the high art of high political influence peddling married to money laundering.

Is the author talking about the fact Hillary! deliberately violated federal law by hosting a private server with which to send and receive official communications, or the fact the hundreds of such emails contained classified information up to TS//SCI and TS//SAP/SAR levels, or was it because she demanded (and got) 30,000 emails that were under a Congressional preservation order to be wiped, “like with a cloth”?
Any one of those would get any of us peasants thrown in jail.

He’s mad that she got caught. He’s perfectly OK with the crimes and ethics violations she did.

Did Clinton yell, scream and stomp his feet? Are there pictures? Videos?
The likability factor played a big part in that loss. Hillary is simply not likable and comes off as a shrew.
Plus, I think people had Obama-fatigue. Trump offered new, fresh leadership.
Yeah that’s the ticket, it’s not that she’s a totally unlikeable Harpy that broke the law and on top of it also got Americans killed…can you say Benghazi? It’s all because some media accurately reported on her private email server and destruction of the emails that she lost.
