New photos of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson's alleged killer have been released by the NYPD, as the hunt for the assassin enters its fifth day.
The alleged killer can be seen in the back of a cab as NYPD investigator's search remains ongoing.
Earlier this week, a backpack found by officers in the hunt for Thompson's killer did not contain the murder weapon, according to reports.
Authorities looking for the individual responsible for gunning down Thompson in the early hours of Wednesday morning found the backpack inside Central Park on Friday.
Sources have since told Bloomberg and NBC News that a jacket was found inside alongside Monopoly money.
Police sources couldn't elaborate on if the jacket found was the same one seen in surveillance images.
The backpack was taken to a forensic laboratory on Friday evening for examination after it was discovered.
The bag was found by cops on their second sweep of the park, and was placed between boulders just south of the park's carousel.
On Saturday footage obtained by DailyMail.com showed teams of police divers in the water near the Bethseda fountain as part of their search.
Investigators confirmed the underwater search was related to Wednesday's 'brazen, targeted attack', which claimed the life of the 50-year-old father-of-two.
New York's mayor Eric Adams also said the 'net is tightening' on his killer, telling The New York Post that officers now have a name for the suspect.

This is going to make a good Dateline episode
I am guessing a tranny who demanded insurance paid to remove his junk.
All good scenarios. They never did catch DB Cooper.
That could true as well, and probably is; but my point is he’s no professional.
Inside job. My cynical guess....separated wife...
She said that there had been threats before the shooting...so then, why no security? How did killer know victim was leaving so early...and from what door...
Killer leaving misleading evidence...buys time to get out of dodge...
Just sayin’
I am in agreement with your cynical guess.
That means everything could be to mislead the investigation. That means look to immediate family members, who have something to gain.
Quite possible!
From the cop dramas I have watched, (not that it means much), the first suspects are always “ family, family, family”....the perfect cover is the distrust, anger, and hatred toward “for profit” healthcare organization...that’s why the inscriptions were on the bullets or casings...
The constant bits of evidence being left, meant to me that the evidence drop was possibly planned to “shape” the narrative.
Probably a conflict over divorce settlement, etc...
Another outside possibility is a side business conflict unrelated to wife....or victim was embezzling money from company...I am guessing cops are tracking down those possibilities also.
My other guess is that disgruntled people usually go after a person they know...as in shooting the company agent, or the offices of the company...not the CEO ONLY....
Those COVID masks sure come in handy if you’re a murderer.
I can’t get past thinking that available silicone and nylon disguise tech has advanced considerably making them readily available. I don’t think it’s beyond considering he is trying to be visually recognizable IN disguise, so as to further avoiding identification with his actual features.
Probably. Interesting thought.
Looks like a bonehead amature but—that might be a trick. The face could be a fake one—He is now in South America enjoying his money.
“My other guess is that disgruntled people usually go after a person they know...as in shooting the company agent, or the offices of the company...not the CEO ONLY....“
Good point
I am more inclined to believe he is holed up in a safe house somewhere around New York or maybe someone picked him up and he is traveling by car. The last time he was seen was at the bus station north of central park. I doubt he was going to wait around for a bus headed back to Atlanta, but rather caught one of the metro area buses to get out of the city.
